There are some mods now at Nexus...albeit saved games...but who knows what comes next. At least Nexus believes in them
Actually, taking a look here, those are all save files. No actual mods as of yet, just some save files of pre-made Inquisitors.

But it is a start in the right direction ![]()
It is, and I know the modders are working on getting some stuff out. Still, it's going to be awhile yet. They've got the causal outfit recolored and are currently trying to re-insert it into the game. They were also able to change Cullen's name to Morrigan on his chat bubble. That's as far as they've gone. I'm not knocking on the modders, but they still have a long way to go before I think we'll see mods available for download.

I'm pretty sure I saw a screen shot of a dragon that had been changed into a nug. Lol.
You're probably right that it will take a while before they have any genuinely useful mods, but they're making quick progress. The game has only been out for barely a month and they're already exporting models and textures from this "unmoddable" game, and Cheat Engine has been turned into a full-blown item editor. It's kind of amazing.
I dont quite see how save files are a start.
I was mislead.
I was mislead.
Sorry to mislead you but just stay patient...the modders are working things out for proper mods to come in due course.
Real modding requires access to the internal file formats and a design structure that permits easy overrides. There is no such structure available, at the moment.
Also, my understanding is that Bio licensed Frostbite 3 engine "middleware" to help with their DAI game development. Making these license tools available to the public is problematic, as I'm sure you understand.
Sorry about the reality check.
PS: The Cheat Engine guys are working on some of this stuff.
I'm happy to see modders trying to get things working with DAI. Even if we only get texture packs, armor replacements, etc, it will be cool.
Cheat Engine is another route, I've been using that for the camera mods (to make my game play mostly like DAO), and that's been great, but getting mods permanently into the game would be better overall, at least for certain things.
OP, do you mind editing your first post so the Topic Title doesn't give the false impression?
Ok, done ![]()
I hope we do get a few mods for the game as it needs it.
The first mod I want is the auto attack for PC.
me i want the pajamas gone, burned, completely destroyed, and replaced lol.

It's such a shame we need to mod additional functionality into the game.
Though based on a kotaku post, there was an NSFW mod floating around so everyone is in their birthday suits was there not?
Well if modders can't make a breakthrough, let's just hope that Bioware can give us DLC's with what we we want.
Given the number of frustrations - I doubt it. They'll give us something, but it certainly won't be the depth that a lot of people wish for. Perhaps outfits and storage - but not things that would vastly improve the game (tactics is a big one, imo).
DAI needs a modkit.
Also. Hair, it desperately needs new hair, beard and eyebrow options - even if its just recycled and updated models from the first two DA games. - Current stuff is nine kinds of terrible.
And a skyhold storage chest
And replacement outfit for Skyhold, no more ugly pjs.
and a way to deconstruct armor and weapons for their schematics. (and maybe a dye mechanic. something)

yes, yes, yes, and YES!!!!
with the outfit i would be happy just to turn it into the formal outfit from winter palace <.< it looks really nice to me, but than you get back to skyhold, and pj's...... i really hate the pj's.
We will never have mods. Period.
Thx EA and Frostbite!
Mods would make this great game perfect. +1

Modders made their own tool, it's still in WIP.
So for now they're able to extract some contents and can only swap textures.
For more information, please check these :

So if anyone can help them or you know anyone who can, please pass the message.
More modders we will be able to get more quickly things will be able to advance.
But yes, if Bioware would've provided a toolset instead of multiplayer mode, we will have probably already some mods out soon like the fabulos hairstyles of Adela.

never say never.
i've not a doubt things will get figured out in time.
