I was wondering if they were going to make a Nexus page for DAI. didn't expect one because BF4 don't have one there and I thought that is probably because of the titanium vault that is FB3.
Will we ever see actual mods? Time will tell...

There is one; people are starting to share their "character" save file.
The modders made a topic about their tool but it was deleted.
I don't know the reason.
They will try to make it again.
Sad. Shows how far out of touch Bioware is with their PC Market. Why would they not include a way to save character design presets?
*sigh*.
And deleting forum threads about modding? Really?
The genre on the PC seems to be dead, taking over by a corporatocracy that is just sucking the life from it.
No Mods, Action combat, console controller focused, multiplayer DLC sales....good grief.
I want hair styles that don't make me want to vomit.

Was it deleted I think I subscribed to the thread and it ended up becoming a private group discussion

It's easy to google the information. Not a loss...
I believe Bio's policy is to discourage cheating on the MP side of the game... so all cheating threads get the axe.
As a long time Skyrim player / mod user, looking into that barren wasteland that is the DAI Nexus pains me. ![]()
...nah, not really.
But it shows that mod support and mod possibilities are currently not present. I guess there is no need to hang around there until much later.

I was talking about the Nexus page on the Nexus website since the quote I replied to, was about Nexus. ![]()
Anyway, the modders are active and are working on their toolset. You can found them over there :
Link to forum group on Bioware forum : http://forum.bioware...9048-dai-tools/
Link to an external forum (run by the same modders of the group) : http://daitools.free...s.org/index.php
So if you're able to help by knowing how to code or whatever (like testing their toolset) or know someone who can help them, please pass the message. ![]()
I came to this thread hopping for mods, maybe a Skyhold outfit recolor, i was only somewhat disappointed, at least there was mention of someone working of a skyhold outfit recolor. I loved mods for DAO and DA2, i know we will not have that level of modding for this game, but please, i'm begging the modding community do something about that AWFUL outfit. D:
I also want a transmutation table or something. You know, a place to make Armor X look like Armor Y. And Weapon A look like Weapon B. I find awesome looking armor and weapons but they are crap as far as their status goes, but this better armor and weapon is ugly as sin. - Its annoying as hell.
Also, the best armor for my rouge and my warrior is the same long jacket? (what the hell? - this isnt right)
If you hated DA2, you would hate more inquisition. Don`t buy it. Its poor game and is not for PC.
Actually, taking a look here, those are all save files. No actual mods as of yet, just some save files of pre-made Inquisitors.
There are two other mods. They are retextures of outfits.
more hair is a must for me, I mean if bioware can recreate all the armors from Origins and II then why not add the hairs from those games >.>
Who are we kidding? DAI needs a complete retooling. Games hitboxes are a mess, skills are constantly ignoring passives, and multiplayer is a joke of a mess.
Sigh, nothing like missing a skill pointblank on a target 1 00000000 times just because they're slightly larger/longer then usual.

From modder Ehamloptiran :
"Its still quite a complicated thing to do, you would need to locate the Item asset for the helmet you want to replace, and find the guid of the item helmet you want to replace it with, then export the first item asset to binary and make the changes using a hex editor, then its still not guaranteed to work, as there are still some mysteries to be solved about how assets are looked up during game play, such as using delay load bundles."

This one I pounced on the day it was released. Sadly, I am one of the unlucky bastards it's not working for. *heart cracks*
I'm playing TSW's Christmas content for the time being. I hope at some point it gets fixed, but for anyone else who hated the Nutcracker costumes as much as I did but might be more lucky than me, go back up your saves and give it a try!
A mod request...
When the Herald meets Hawke, you have the option of using default or custom Hawke. The custom option opens the character creator where you can change Hawkes look to match your DA2 Champion.
I would love...
When recruiting all companions (except Varrick and Cass) they are perfect.... to have this same option available for them. Default companion or custom companion. ![]()

A new version of the toolset has been released since then maybe you will be able to make it work.

Not really possible I'm afraid. Companions are their own unique assets, they're not made with the CC like Hawke is.
I hope we get mods! At least some basic outfit changing ones....I'd love to be able to adjust my Inquistor's outfit appearance. The pajamas were okay on my female human and elf, but my poor male qunari looks like he's been stuffed into them ![]()
Or maybe real dresses for Halamshiral...I will hold out hope ![]()
One that changes focus abilities for the multiplayer versions of it, SOMEONE NEEDS TO DO THIS ASAP.
I'm watching with interest - there were some incredible mods for Origins and DA2, though I appreciate how tough this engine is.
I would like to see some player created voice acting and the ability to over-write existing voice choices. That would be amaze-balls.

Frosbite is a ******, to be bluntly honest. >.>
Overwriting sound files would be theorhetically possible depending on the format the game is using and how much extra crap is going on in the cinematic mode. It would be total Godzilla movie though as the cinematic mode locks to 30 fps to ensure frame synching with the lips and sound files. So I doubt its a dynamc real time affair like the Source engine. So if you were going to replace an existing voice choice it would be a heck of an undertaking as you would have to match your performance to the existing animation ala anime dubbing.
Plus I'm sure the amount of dialogue for the Inquisitor voices is massive to say the least.
I think the modders have gotten into the sound files though? I recall seeing some script.
