Holy ****, do you people realize this boss has been so consistently easy for me, that I didn't even realize it WAS a boss? I just thought since there are multiple Terrors in the last demon fight that it was just another one of the Terrors, and that the demons had no final boss, just a horde.

 

Get real, people. All you have to do is get your tank to taunt it, then run around keeping it far away from the rest of the party. 

 

You can even use the ridiculously underrated Combat Roll not only on this boss, but the Templar Commander as well. It's a great move in general and is foolishly overlooked. Or get your Keeper to use Dispel and it will get rid of the fear status of everyone who was affected.

 

I really hope Bioware doesn't nerf this boss just because of a bunch of forum QQ.

i thought there was more than one of them on the DC fight, was i hallucinating or something lol. thought they were just tougher terrors than the ones you fight in stages 1-4

I don't see the point of nerfing Demon Commander when they could just buff the Venatori and Red Templar Commander.

Venatori Commander is a free kill since her damage is poor, can be frozen and lacks enough effective Health Points (no invulnerability but got crap barrier instead).

Red Templar Commander is easily handled by kiting.

 

So, buff Venatori and Red Templar Commander.

- Have to have a good tank that knows what he is doing.

- Have to hope that other critters do not also go after the tank.

- Have to hope the other players play smart and don't start getting themselves killed and the circle jerk or rezzing begins.

- Have to hope that the rest of the team actually knows what the tank is going to do.

- Have to communicate with team mates.

 

Your easy to beat Demon commander point fails out right with any one of the above points.  A good coordinated team can do just what you suggest, the average pug team cannot and do not.

or have 2 keepers and just stick together and barrier cheese the f out of it. the problem with pugs is they focus waaaay too much on him instead of kiting and killing the other mooks, esp the fkn wraiths

boo who I actually have to use teamwork and strategy to beat the demon commander! anything that requires a bloody quantum of energy from my brain needs to be nerfed hard bioware!!!

Yeah, because it was easy as hell and it's not even really a "demon commander" it's just a copy and paste from the single player mode's Terrors that come out of Rifts.

 

Gosh guys, remember the days when DA bosses were really terrifying? When you could tell just from looking at it that you were in for a hard fight? OH WAIT, none of you have even played a DA game before.

 

In fact, none of you are actually gamers because you don't even want a challenge. Try playing Donkey Kong Country Returns for more than a couple days and see how many times you fall off the screen or get killed by enemies.
