Opposed to all the nay-sayers and negative nellys on these forums stands this thread. Barrier'd up with full guard standing strong against the tide of demons who would denounce our wonderful game.

This game IS amazing, the combat is fantastic and strategic for those that want it(Nightmare) and quick and action based for those who dont(Hard and below). Story is entertaining. Characters are fun and i wish i could take em all with me all the time. I think bioware have done a brilliant job at redefining the dragon age series as an action based game.

Are there negatives? Sure. Sometimes the speech sounds like a vocal sample from a Skrillex song, and sometimes the clipping is a little off. But is the game still awesome? Ofc it is. I love it and will likely be playing this for a very, VERY, long time.

Surely i'm not alone?

I agree, but I'd hardly call it an action game. This was the strongest RPG they've put out yet. Oh, and

I agree also :) Is there more I would want from it? Absolutely because enough is never enough in my book, I'm greedy that way lol! Are there things I would change a bit? Yup, small minor irritations! But overall, I'm delighted with Inquisition and thoroughly enjoying it (2nd PT almost 3/4 completed).

Agreed.  I'm loving DAI, more so than DA2 and possibly could oust DAO as the favorite Dragon Age game for me.  Don't let the haters drag you down, it's easy to only see negativity on these forums.  Head somewhere more positive, like Tumblr.  :P

I'm pretty fond of it, as vocal as I may be about the game's issues.

I found it hard to motivate myself to do another playthrough after the first one since there's just so much to do in the game and being a completionist I don't really want to leave anything undone. What worked for me in the end, was simply taking the game in small chunks at a time instead of trying to do everything at once. Concentrate on one thing and finish it before going off to do anything else.

Also, don't let these forums fool you. This game has had a positive reception everywhere else.

Hardly alone, considering DA:I is wiping the floor with everything else  for 'Game of the Year' award.

I certainly agree with the OP, and I think DAI detractors are coming around as they get used to the game mechanics

There is no such thing as a perfect game. Every game out there is going to have flaws. You put two people in a room and your going to have a difference of opinion. I am enjoying the game for what it is, just as I enjoyed origins and da2 for what they were. The forums are a tool to debate the issues. Bioware will use it to help them make the next game, so on and so on. When it comes out, I will enjoy it for what it is. :)

So brave, OP ;). This game is actually being received well, even by the BSN, all things considered. I'm loving it as well, amazing experience. I have a few quibbles but nothing major.

I like the game for what it is by not comparing it to DA:O/DA2.

As someone new to the Dragon Age franchise, I must say: I'm completely enchanted by Dragon Age: Inquisition!

Sure, there are always issues and there's room for improvement, but the game is working so well for me. I can't get the characters out of my head, I've been singing tavern songs while cleaning, and while I had planned on playing just an hour or two this morning, it ended up being four! (procrastinating on said cleaning) I even dreamed about it last night >.>

Maybe I need help.. ;)

Definitely my favourite DA game to date, issues and all.  I've had the game CTD four times in 80 hours (Skyrim crashed more...and that was on console!).  So the only issues I've had with DA:I is a sometimes frustrating tactical cam, a sometimes frustrating lack of tactics, and a sometimes frustrating tendency of my companions to ignore my Revive orders.  That, and cutscenes are still hitching.

All of these, except for the lack of tactics, are minor bugs that will probably get worked out over time.  The game itself is a masterpiece!  When I first started playing, I would read the posts of individuals that preferred Origins over Inquisition.  But now I just laugh at them.  Aside from tactics, I can't see a single reason to prefer Origins over Inquisition.

The Singquisition feat. Scout Harding proudly presents:

Bio is back

I like this game and I cannot lie
You other brothers can't deny
That a game like this can never be a waste
A great story in your face
You get sprung, wanna pull out your tongue
'Cause you notice that game was stuffed
Deep with content it's daring
I'm hooked and I can't stop staring
Oh baby, I wanna play with ya
And take your picture
My homeboys tried to warn me
But this game just makes me feel so horny

As a fan of the first two games, I have to say I'm so impressed with what Bio has done for the third, flaws and all. It makes me giddy to think of ME:Next.

I love this game! I can't get enough of it. I'm replaying my first play through to get the stuff I missed. The only difference is I'm going Archer instead of DW. Also, I am listening closely to every single utterance Solas makes. Sure, it's not a perfect game, but crazy awesome just the same. I simply ignore the complainers, otherwise I'd lose my will to live.

I love it too :D .

(And these forums are nothing like as unpleasant as they were when DA2 came out and I loved that.)
