It's a good game but I'd be lying if I said I'm motivated to beat it. I go days without playing and that's telling in its own right.

I think the quality of the game is reflected not by the absence of over-the-top hate in these forums, but the number of individuals engaging in such hate. If you compare the DA:1 level of hate to DA2 level of hate, after release, the difference is several orders of magnitude.

 

This is very correct.

The threads seem quiet - I suspect because most are playing the game.

 

Of course there are some issues, there always are, but BW did a safe job (and much more) avoiding the flaws of DA2 and ME3.

 

I'm 300 hours in and haven't (yet) reached the end (2 elective restarts and multiplayer)...

I like it too, love it even. The part between Haven and Skyhold was jawdroppingly good! Graphics, world design, character design, armor and weapon design are all outstanding. Character conversations and -diversity, fighting and skills are good fun.

 

It's the little things that break immersion (no walking) and the big lies that break trust in Bioware (marketing for PC) though and I wont forget that.

 

In it's core it's a good old Bioware game, probably one of their best, yet. But they gave up on the pc and pc players sadly.
