What are Trevelyan's parents doing?

I mean, aren't they worried? Not even a little bit?

I'm just sad.. :(

I think they left out any interaction with your parents to allow you to define your relationship with your family in conversation.

Your parents don't love you.

OMG sorry!!! I didn't realize I posted this here until you mentioned it! I'll edit this right away! Sorry again if this spoiled your play.

Looks like everything about the Trevelyan's family is as 'open' and headcanon-friendly as can be, which is fine by me. I'd hate to see the forced relations and\or relatives. The player has an option to define some of those via the dialogues and missions.

Actually the war table missions with Ostwick deal with some problematic relatives of the human noble Inquisitor. They aren't immediate family though (probably second and third cousins and such).

They're worried that their son is sleeping with his long lost Tevinter cousin.

Yeah, but it's up to the player how to react. Te game does not force one to love\hate\care\whatever. One can easily roleplay the beloved daddy's kid, and an outcast as well.  Malcolm Hawke was written in the same way, his personality had not been entirely predefined (even with Legacy).

I think we'll get to see them in a DLC or something, along with the parents/family of the other races.

This is so early in the game that I don't consider it a spoiler. At one point Josephine asks you about your parents and you have the option to pick any relationship you like, which is what I think that poster was referring to. I thought it was done pretty well actually.

Well mine certainly should be. ;)
