How Hard Would More Origins Have Been?

But because it's not terribly interwoven into the story, I have to wonder how difficult it would have been to offer more than one origin per race. A commoner human (something people have wanted since Origins - even Hawke turned out to come from a fairly prestigious family), a city elf, etc.
I can think of maybe five times my human origin was mentioned, and all were obviously just passing comments. In my opinion, it would be proportionally very valuable to be able to have those five lines be somewhere else for replay purposes. Maybe my commoner human has a few extra lines of dialog with Sera and a few less with Josephine. Obviously a different Qunari origin would affect your relationship with Iron Bull.
Are any of the other origins perhaps more entrenched with the story?

I play an elf, and I feel like I can't walk 5 feet without someone pointing out that I am an elf.
So, some origins are more mentioned than others =)

Elven origin gets mentioned quite a lot, particularly in context of the whole "Herald of Andraste" thing, and leader of Inquisition being an elf. So does being a mage.
It was enough to keep me satisfied.

The answer to a lot of these questions about how hard would it have been to do [X} is pretty much always: not that hard. The problem is that content can't be added ad infinitum.

That would have been a choice, it's not about being hard.
BioWare chose not to have a heavier origin for more impact during the game.
I think they made the right choice

Playing a Qunari is both enjoyable from the perspective of people's reactions and aggravating when it comes to obtaining gear ![]()
