Did you see that movie? I am sooo disappointed. It was like a bad Transformers . (and transformers is already incredible bad but it does'nt claim to be any good at least)

Didn't watch it and wouldn't pay to watch. The trilogy started good enough, but I knew things wouldn't turn out good when Jackson deviated a good bit from the source material in the second part.

Why people make adaptions and then deviate from the source material is something I'll probably not understand too soon. I mean, I understand if the material gets tweaked a bit when stuff isn't suitable for the medium it's being adapted to due to limitations of the used media in both source and adaption, but adding new content like characters and story arcs ... why? Just so there's a romance in it? Or to cash in on some Orlando Bloom fangirls/-boys?

Because the series really needed Legolas mowing down orcs like the incompetent cannon fodder they are by the dozens, that's why.

You know Age of Extinction is being considered for Best Picture right?

http://screenrant.co...inction-oscars/

So that kinda renders that last point null and void. Since they are claiming it's good.

Though knowing the Oscars. They probably will add it.

Considering how Rebellion Story got the snub last year.

For all the usual Hobbit film complaints, you can use the pre-existing thread: here.

Please god let it win. I need this for Christmas. This would turn the oscars into a laughing stock once and for all...

I lost all respect for them last year when my favorite film of all time got nominated and then they admitted they didn't even end up watching it cause "it didn't look interesting"

Like I said.

Start was rushed.

End was rushed.

A few stupid things. Like magic mountain goats out of no where and of course... romance. "You make me feel alive!" Who wrote that? A 12 year old?

But overall?

I loved it.

8/10.

There is so much wrong with that movie. It lost all its charme that 1 and 2 built up within minutes. And when you think at least the "battle" must be good you just end up shaking your head in disbelief about the lining up of bad and pointless scenes.

That's how I felt about the second movie. I'm keeping my expectations low so I can be pleasantly surprised, then.
