Is HALO dying?

I thought Halo 4 was alright. But I agree the franchise is dying. I hope 5 can put some life back into the series. But if it doesn't I think 343/MS need to cut their loses and drop the series it was a good run and fun while it lasted but I think it's ok to let Chief be put to rest. That won't happen though. No I suspect will get a few more games so they can squeeze the series for all it has left then toss it to the curb once it's dry.

 

I'm not much a "casuals/dumb console players ruin everything" believer but I do agree in this particular instance.

 

Goddamn casuals rustling my jimmies!

It's all about the $$. All halo has to do to hold the the tards is ad a noob mode and give it a hardass name, ie hardcore mode on cod. Next add in more camp spots, more vehicles, and a customizable loadout.
It would be COD in space.

Nothing in the world is more satisfying or requires more skill than shooting your opponent thirty times in ultra rapid succession, or fifteen if you hit them on the nose every time. Goddamn sh*tlicking consul cashuals.

Ever since CoD Modern Warfare entered the picture, things have been at odds for Halo. Since CoD is one of those games that you are either good or you suck at then people play it to be the former. All you have to do is spray and pray.

 

Halo however requires effort to kill another Spartan or elite. You have to ambush, use stealth, control and duel in order to win. In CoD however all you need is quick reflexes and a full auto SMG. 

 

Halo is dying because they won't import to to PC and because of the casual players. 

 

World at War, Shuri Castle, Japanese Everywhere, Veteran Difficulty, Come at me bro!

Lol, what nonsense. I have a friend who regularly had LAN parties with eight people playing Halo, who was ranked in the top 100 playing Reach the night it came out (until he went to bed). There was no stealth involved, no ambushing, certainly no duels. All it took was quick and accurate reflexes (he could snipe me from halfway across a Halo 2 map while he was jumping or I was jumping/riding a Warthog), just like any FPS.

The most experienced use what I listed. 

If you're fighting to win then not only you need the skill but the intelligence. 

You have to stay off of motion tracker if you want to surprise the enemy.
Ambushing enemies at choke points and baiting weapons. 

Map control is vital and ensures you will win if preformed correctly.

And as for DMR duels in reach, pace your shots perfectly.

They're pitching such a fit because Halo is the FPS that's "cool" to play, and they're grasping for reasons why that is when it sucks just as much as Battlefield does these days.

Halo's golden days are over. It isn't going to last 30 years like MS wants it to. CoD has already won out, and Destiny was supposed to even the field but it didn't become the CoD killer (Despite it being Video game crack). Halo 4 was the beginning of the end. 

 

There are already games with a more powerful story and better MP as well.

Yeah, unfairly tough and not great difficulty design. Crysis 1 DELTA difficulty is a proper difficulty curve for FPS, as are HALO's incredible AI on Legendary. 

 

But... World at War on veteran is still a hilariously fun game to play on Veteran for some reason, even tho you get killed in the most random and spastic ways lol. 

 

Halo's incredible Legendary AI?

 

I'm sorry, I have to argue this. Nothing changes on Legendary except most weapons one-hit kill you and the enemies have multiple sets of overshields. They don't get any smarter, they just become cheap. It's not skill based, it's patience based. You just grit your teeth and keep dealing with it until you win. It's not even fun, or rewarding. There wasn't a "Yeah, I did it!" It was "God, FINALLY!"

You walk onto the mission proud and ready to take on the alien horde.
