DS2 will likely be easier in difficulty for people starting out with the souls series, but I'm not sure it'd be my first reccomendation; It isn't on the same legendary status as the first two.

You'll likely get the most bang out of your buck with Dark Souls 1. Twice the game for half the price.

Should probably elaborate, Dark Souls 2 has a lot going for it:

• Much more powerful graphics engine, higher frame rate/details.
• A more balanced estus system, chugging them doesn't increase health as quickly, you start with all of one, etc.
• A major divergence from the Decayed Kingdoms of the first 2, going for more variety.

I'm torn, DA:I is tempting to put down for GOTY. Certain parts of the game(the lack of depth in many of the side quests) noticably hurts the game, though the environments themselves are still diverse, detailed, and naturally encourage exploration.

The best is definitely Inquisition (Easily one of the most enjoyable Bio-games) & Peruusona Q

The worst among the few actual new games I've played would probably be Destiny.

I didn't get bad games, just meh games.

 

Best: Dark Souls 2 (PC), Divinity: Original Sin, Endless Legend

 

Meh: Civilization: Beyond Space, Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel

 

 

haven't played some games long enough and couldn't get a few good ones.
