It should say underneath - if it is your gamertag, it should say something like "XBox Live Gamertag."  If it doesn't say that, it's something else.  Unfortunately lots of work seems to be involved.  It's possible that just turning on the game (while signed in to your XBL gamertag) and then logging in to your EA account in-game will link them.  Not everyone is getting that result, though - even of the people without the multiple EA accounts problem.

If your gamertag is not currently associated: I would turn the game on, attempt to give it your main EA account (the one here presumably), and then check EA's site to see whether the gamertag is there.  If it still isn't, attempt to add it as a persona.  If that doesn't work, EA Support it is.

Alrite, thanks. I guess I haven't linked it yet.

Since the account email and password is the same, would inputting the code here for that account unlock it for all personas, or do I have to set the XBL persona as my "default" persona?

@Mystranna: Once the XBL tag is associated with the main EA account, inputting the code will unlock it for that tag automatically - no need to set it as default. Again though I'd caution against inputting the code before you've linked the accounts (not that you were going to do that, just hammering that point home today).

I have the PC-CE edition. Bought it at Best Buy, not Gamestop. First I input the Inferno armor and Collectors codes into the website Redeem Codes section. This was while I was waiting for the game to install. I get into the game, ready to put the Cerberus code in..... "Key Code Already In Use"..... I hadn't even used the code anywhere.

Really hope there will be a fix for this.

Same issue, Cerberus gave me CE armor and weapon, which I already had...now I can't use it to activate the network in game.

Yep.

Still waiting on UPS, so my only potential problem should be whether or not I can get the gamertag linked to the account at all. The EA site says I have to be logged into XBL with an online EA game, so I guess I ahve to wait till my copy shows up.

Bought the game off of EA's site when Gamestop screwed up my pre-order. Just got it today, free expedited shipping during that Christmas thing... and I uploaded all of the keys I had through this site. I can and did download them.
The only thing though... Cerberus Network Key, led me to collector's edition download and when I try to activate my Cerberus Network in the game it says the key is in use. Also on the PC.

Hopefully you guys will get it up within the day and working. However, I really don't think this is just EA's fault anymore.

Well this sucks. EA.com says my gamertag is already tied to some other account, but I have no idea what it is.

Ok I've notice my CE has both Xbox and PC codes for the extra downloadable content. I accidentally installed the Xbox360 stuff which I don't use. How do I remove that?

I have seen SEVERAL referances to " EA Support ", it probably would be nice to Ask EA to ADD MassEffect 2 to the Support site. As of 2 Min ago It was not an available game option.
I am haveing issues with the addons and am also recieving error codes and messages that I am unable to report.

Ok, cancle that, I have located the link http://social.biowar...06/index/773925 to the PC MassEffect 2 site and am now using it.

Sorry about the delay in my postings. I guess everyone is still working this situation out? From what I'm reading, it seems we're just gonna have to wait and see.

Maybe I'll ring EA and see if they can do something.

I doubt it.

Should I redeem my codes first or register my game first?

Yeah I screwed up and linked my DA and ME2 codes to this EA account, while my Cerberus codes are tied to my XBL EA account. Trying to contact EA about how to merge those two EA accounts or something but I doubt that'll happen. Certainly sucks.

Well I tried to contact EA and was not successful by any means. Guess I will wait it out and hopefully all will be sorted out in the next few hours. Doubt it though. Really wanted to check out the blood dragon armor. Huh.

There seems to be some confusion by Gamestop customers when they enter their Cerberus promotion code in the activation screen.

Please do this:
Go to the Code Redemption page here: http://social.bioware.com/redeem/
Enter the Cerberus code you received from Gamespot (This applies to both PC and Xbox 360 copies)
PC Users will get a file to download and install. Please do so. Then restart the game and you will get your Cerberus activation.
Xbox 360 users DO NOT need to download the file. Simply redeem the code, restart your game and you will get access to the Cerberus network.

We hope this makes things clearer. We are adding this message to the redemption page now as well.

NOTICE TO EVERYONE WHO HAS NOT REDEEMED CEREBRUS NETWORK CODE:

Just to make sure this is clear. Do not under any circumstances for the 360 put the code into the website. Put it in the game. It requires an EA Profile to be linked and if you already have an EA profile you SHOULD NOT create another one. I had an EA profile linked to a dead email from Tiger08 and I tried every password I could think of. Of course forgot password only shoots an email to your registered email.

I thought, no biggie, I will create another EA Profile to redeem my codes. Went ahead and redeemed my codes online, turned on ME2 and guess what, it asks for the code I just put in. Tells me it is already in use. Turns out you need to make sure your gamertag is associated with your profile. No problem, went ahead and tried it and it won't let me because it is already in use. EA says they can't remove a gamertag association from an EA profile either so I am 100% SOL and lost all my codes. Now it says purchase the cerebrus network for 1200 MS points. BS!

To recap: EA won't let me login into my old account with my gamertag. EA won't let me associate my new account that I had to make with my gamertag. Every code I entered in is wasted.

Something I'm not sure about regarding the Cerberus Network. Is is absolutely necessary to be in it to obtain DLC? Or are only somethings tied to it and others not? It just seems strange that Bioware would force a system on people just so they can buy (in the future) DLC form them.

Cerberus Network is for free DLC not having it will not stop you from buying future paid DLC

This is exactly why Bioware should have just let XBL handle it. Or if you have the PC version let bioware handle it. Going through EA as a middle man simply to score more users on EA.com is stupid.

Okay my Bioware social network account and EA account have the same gmail account. My XBL account uses hotmail. I see my gamertag on the EA persona account thing. Am I safe to enter in DLC codes on the web?

So us 360 gamers who followed the instructions on the card and put the code on the site are now screwed?

Looks like I am another non-Gamestop PC CE user who put his Cerberus key code in after putting my in Collector and Inferno armor codes and was given no activation download just another link to the Collector's armor and now it wont work in the game despite both my account here on the social network and in the game is the same one. Has anyone gotten around this issue?

Hopefully not ... I am waiting for support from EA.  It's funny.  The absolute first direction the Terminus Armor code card gives you is "Log on to masseffect.com."

This debacle seems to be beyond simple multiple human error.  This is straight up design flaw.

Yep I'm pissed. Makes me not want to even play the game altogether...
