I had the same problems as most of you did, i couldn't connect my EA account to my xbox live account because it said my gamertag was already in use. I solved the issue by going to support.ea.com/chat and during my first attempt to get into a chat it canceled my request for a chat. Which pissed me off because i waited 30 minutes, but right after it canceled i re tried getting a chat and it put me through to an agent. The agent then made my gamertag linked to my normal xbox email address and now I'm good to go.

After a bit of looking around I found what I was looking for earlier, which lead me to believe something else. You are able to redownload stuff from here:

http://social.biowar...ntitlements.php

When I go there, the only things I have available for ME2 are the CE Armor and Weapon and the Blood Armor from DA. This is after putting in the codes for both the Network and the Armor and Weapon. So it seems like the PC CE issue is that the Network codes just aren't registering properly to allow people to get their download, since Chris mentioned that PC users should get a file to download.

There seems to be some confusion by Gamestop customers when they enter their Cerberus promotion code in the activation screen.

Please do this:
Go to the Code Redemption page here: http://social.bioware.com/redeem/
Enter the Cerberus code you received from Gamespot (This applies to both PC and Xbox 360 copies)
PC Users will get a file to download and install. Please do so. Then restart the game and you will get your Cerberus activation.
Xbox 360 users DO NOT need to download the file. Simply redeem the code, restart your game and you will get access to the Cerberus network.

We hope this makes things clearer. We are adding this message to the redemption page now as well.

NOTICE TO EVERYONE WHO HAS NOT REDEEMED CEREBRUS NETWORK CODE:

Just to make sure this is clear. Do not under any circumstances for the 360 put the code into the website. Put it in the game. It requires an EA Profile to be linked and if you already have an EA profile you SHOULD NOT create another one. I had an EA profile linked to a dead email from Tiger08 and I tried every password I could think of. Of course forgot password only shoots an email to your registered email.

I thought, no biggie, I will create another EA Profile to redeem my codes. Went ahead and redeemed my codes online, turned on ME2 and guess what, it asks for the code I just put in. Tells me it is already in use. Turns out you need to make sure your gamertag is associated with your profile. No problem, went ahead and tried it and it won't let me because it is already in use. EA says they can't remove a gamertag association from an EA profile either so I am 100% SOL and lost all my codes. Now it says purchase the cerebrus network for 1200 MS points. BS!

To recap: EA won't let me login into my old account with my gamertag. EA won't let me associate my new account that I had to make with my gamertag. Every code I entered in is wasted.

Not true.  I had EA move my Gamertag from one EA Account to the EA Account linked to my Bioware Account.

Here's a quote from me in a similiar thread:

I hope this can clarify things for some people.
This is what I believe is how everything is tied together.

1.  You have a Bioware account tied to an email address.  This is your main account where all DLC is tied to.

2.  You need an EA Account linked to you Bioware account.  Both accounts should be the same email address and password.

3.  Your Gamertag is linked to you EA Account which is linked to your Bioware Account.

Now, if you are like me; your Gamertag would've been setup using Hotmail or something back in the day.

There is no way to unlink the Gamertag and move it to you EA/Bioware email address.  You can go on EA's Live Chat and have them do it for you.  This is what I did.  My first session dropped after 30 minutes.  But the next one worked.  The actual process of them changing it took 5 minutes.

I now see my Gametag under My EA Account and I see it under my Bioware Account.

I will also say that I haven't done anything with ME2 yet, so I could be getting my hopes up. However, I'm pretty sure this is how it's suppose to work.

If you don't have a Gamertag tied to any accounts yet you can go to this forum for more info -> http://social.biowar...0-766184-1.html

any answer for the question posted earlier about actually seeing your gamertag under the field for the code entry?

if you see your gamertag there is this supposed to work?

i ask this because my live account email is not the same as the bioware/ea account email....but it still says that is linked to my gamertag.

It least on the 360 side, all the troubles and issues we are having could of been somewhat fixed if you redeem the damn code on the 360, not the pc!!!

If it's linked, you're in good shape then.  You might still encounter the separate Cerberus Network issue - but you won't have codes associated with the wrong account.

EDIT: And thanks for the update, Jarrett - as I said earlier I know you guys have to coordinate the fix with multiple parties, which can't be easy.   Good to hear it's in progress.

I am happy for an update, but I would've been reallllly happy to not have had to wait 4 hours for someone to let us know they are aware and working on it.

Good to see Bioware is jumping in on the thread to set some things straight. I'm more than a little relieved to see them say something. Thanks, Jarrett.

Sorry, we can't find information about that Xbox LIVE Gamertag.

Before you can link your Xbox LIVE Gamertag to your EA Master Account, you need to log in to any online EA game with your Xbox or Xbox 360. Once that is done, check your email inbox at the address you used to sign up for your Xbox LIVE Gamertag for an email from us describing what you need to do to link up your accounts.

Keep in mind, this email may not appear immediately, so be patient. Note, you can always come back to this page to re-trigger the email in case you missed it.

This is what it told me on the EA account page. My EA/Bioware emails are identical. I have the old school hotmail for my XBL GT and I can access its email.

So in order for this to work, I need to physically turn on ME2 on my 360. Then what? (btw, I have alll 3 codes waiting for me : cerb, terminus, collectors)

Am I on the right track?

It's just sad to see that all these genius's who create these games and online systems can't even recognize simple issues like this that tick off dedicated users who have been waiting forever for this, and then the process to fix it is such a pain people get pissed and dont even wanna deal with it :(

Thank you sir.  This simple comment right here is what makes Bioware such a top notch dev.

I got my DLC stuff worked out but the instructions are highly misleading and inaccurate.

EA/Bioware Social Network have the same Email/Username---This is key
Log on to the EA.com site with said Email/Username----Attempt to add your Xbox live Persona
If this doesn't work boot up ME2 on the Xbox 360
DO NOT ENTER the DLC code yet!!
Log into your EA/Bioware Social Network account from the in-game prompt
Go back on the web to the EA.com site
Log back into your account using the EA/Bioware Social Network Email/Username
Your Xbox live gamertag should be displayed under your persona
Head to http://social.biowar...redeem_code.php
Make sure you see your Gamertag displayed
If your gamertag is displayed you may enter in your DLC codes w/o fear

Haven't got the game yet but reading these post have me worried.

My Xbox Live email address isn't linked to this or EA account in anyway.

Would it be safest to create another Bioware social account/ EA account with my Xbox Live email address?

Hey wow what about just making the stupid codes XBL codes and just leave it at that? It's not like there's already a system for it.

He's currently only available for PC, they plan to have him available for 360 soon
