Things that ME4 needs to copy from DA:I *possible little spoilers*

As we all know ME4 will be inspired after DA:I and here are things that it would be great if they did same as in DA:I or some other game(I won't mention that I want "Open World" since that has been confirmed that it will be in ME4):

 

1) CHARACTER CREATOR - I will be greatly disappointed if ME4 does not have as good as CC as DA:I.I hated how CC in previous ME games were so much limited that it was seriously pain in the a~~ many times(especially if you wanted to make your own male Shepard only to end up making some kind of monstrosity).So it is "next gen" afterall and I want good enough CC to make character really however I want without some mods to make them look decent.So this No.1 thing I expect from ME4 to really copy from DA:I.

 

2) BAD GUY IS ON YOUR TEAM - I won't spoil things in here,but people who played DA:I to the end know exactly on who was "bad guy" that was in your party.Anyway ME4 needs someone like that as well.Why?Because I don't know about you but I'm tired of "two-goodie shoes" on your team that is all about justice or even if they are "bad" a little they wish to become better person in end because you opened their eyes.For example...Garrus was total bada~~ but he was all about justice,Jack she was crazy-psycho as No.1 and as No.2 she becomes "two-goodie shoes" in ME3,Thane regrets things he has done and he is looking for redemption,Zaeed is just mercenary that works for money and he is nuts...in anyway they were all "goodies" or became one in end or they simply had mental problems and tragic past.I mean we need some guy without mental problems or tragic past or someone who wants to become better person...we need someone who is evil a~~ till the end and because he is natural a~~hole(like -coughs- one party member from DA:I).

 

3) RELATIONSHIPS - This is something that needs to be fixed ASAP!Why?I mean seriously,talk after every completed mission,do a favor,hook up,bang before final mission!?Just no!I want to be able to talk to my squad in anytime(not after I do a mission just so I can talk),fall in love in natural way by actually meeting them as person(not do me a favor so we can bang) and please if it's about "sex" then how about that as well being done in natural way like before final mission(not must be suicidal mission to sleep with you) and even after that I want to be able to expand relationship just like in DA:I.So this needs to be copied from DA:I because they've done excellent job in DA:I when it comes to relationships.

 

4) BETTER HAIRSTYLES - Ok,this request is not much of "What to copy from DA:I" much but it's something that needs to be putted in ME4 because hairstyles in previous ME series were bloody joke.I understand whole military thing when it comes to hair and clipping and honestly I prefer short hairstyles,but is it so hard like idk to do some research on short hairs,like take a better look at them because there is about trillion cool short hairstyles that are better then any long hair.So just saying,there is no need for "Rapunzel's hair" but short hair that is modern,good-looking and cool is not much to ask.

 

5) APPROVAL SYSTEM - Why?Because you can be biggest a~~ to someone in ME series but it won't matter it's always the same,while in DA:I your crew changes their attitude depending on your actions and you as well.I want something like this in ME4 as well,I want of your squad to treat you differently according to your actions and well you and I want something like this to decided how much they will be loyal to you and on what level because no one will suddenly love you because you did them one favor.

 

6) VOICE SETS - Like in DA:I I really wish if ME4 gave you this option as well to pick at least between two voice sets in game,but unlike in DA:I I would prefer personally if one voice was pure English while another voice had accent like French accent for example.Simple reason is I love accents and French accent is my personal favorite.

 

7) DYNAMIC BOSS FIGHTS - Like fighting dragons in DA:I that is hell of a fight I wish something like this for final boss fight.Why?ME1 Saren fight is honestly a joke because he is too easy to evade and only annoying thing is that he jumps like a frog but beyond that he is too easy,ME2 tube reaper guy too easy and he is even bigger joke he is even easier to evade and kill,ME3 ??? No comment! So I want final boss fight to actually feel like final boss fight!So if something like dragon fights from DA:I could be putted for final boss fight in ME4 that would be great!

 

8) CLASS RECOGNITION ME3 actually itself did really good job by actually making your chosen class recognized and even in some mission and scenes there were specific option for that only specific class could do.For example like specific option only engineer class could perform in ME3 Omega DLC.In ME4 there should be putted tons of other specific option only specific class could do.

 

9) SQUAD MIGHT DIE - This is more thing ME2 had that was great and that was everybody in your team could end up dead if you do something wrong in final mission.This is actually good because it counts your choices and makes consequences that could be fatal for both you and your squad.This is something that needs to be back in ME4 and it gives suicide mission real meaning.

 

10) ANTIGONIST THAT IS NOT SUCH BAD GUY - Once again this has nothing to do with "What to copy from DA:I".Usually all antigonists in both ME and DA series were some kind of pure evil or some sort of madman that wants to destroy or rule the world.Please no more of that.FC4 is best example of antigonist I mean that ME4 needs.Someone like Pegan Min in fact,guy who is considered to be "evil tyrant" but is opposite as you get to meet him and learn his story,someone who makes you question yourself and ask "How is this main villain of story when he is not bad guy at all?" now this kind of villain ME4 needs for big change.Not classical villain that goes "Mwahahahahaha I shall rule the world!" thing.So someone like Pegan Min villain for ME4 would be more then great.

 

11) "WHY SO SERIOUS" - Paragon that saves everyone and it's wise...Renegade that is cold and ruthless and gets the job done no matter the cost...and...wait who putted Joker as new option!?Now this we all need xD Something like "Sarcastic" personality lol Someone that is sarcastic to their bones and really awkward to every level,because let's be honest "Sarcastic" hero is best kind of hero.Why?They are not too bloody perfect,they don't brood,they actually are fun and know how to have fun and plus it's always playing as them fun.So some personality as this would be awesome.

Agreed with pretty much all the points. Sad a little about little spoiler but will have to see how big is it (I already spoiled a lot of the game via YouTube :D).

The only point I'm a bit conflicted about is boss battles. I don't like boss battles in games in general and think that Priority:Earth fight was a great way to avoid actual boss battle. Surely, it could've been better like if we thought Cerberus, Reapers and Geth all at the same time while being backed with allied forces of our own. But I liked it much more than human Reaper or Saren or all the boss fights in ME2 (there were a lot).

Surely, it could've been better like if we thought Cerberus, Reapers and Geth all at the same time while being backed with allied forces of our own. But I liked it much more than human Reaper or Saren or all the boss fights in ME2 (there were a lot). 

 

Like AAA with the Combat Arena. But with your allies in the area..

I disagree. The antagonist should be like the big bad in the same way Saren was and even Corypheus. The reason why I don't like Corypheus in DA:I is because he was misused as an antagonist e.g. we don't see him enough, he never wins in anything so he doesn't feel like a wimp. He's a misguided kind of sympathetic villain which goes against the obvious intent of the writers.

 

Otherwise I agree about voice sets and character creator, but NOT at the expense of main plot, so if having 2 voices per gender is in conflict with the budget for the actual length of the story or the flexibility of choices, then stick to 1 voice per gender instead.

 

Personally, I would like to see ME4 have the same approach to non-linear world exploration but with a more condense world size and more memorable quests, meaning: NO redundant MMO fetch-style quests like "Kill 10 Varren" or "Husband's wife is missing, find the wife, *QUEST COMPLETED*" and for the love of god bring back full ME2 cinematic conversations. Like I said before if having more background dialogue or additional voices for each gender is a direct hindrance to the execution of main plot and character conversations, then leave those things out and make sure the core crew conversations and all the quests are consistently cinematic, because I think I speak for everyone when I say that if we had the choice we'd all prefer the cinemaic dialogues over the non-cinematc ones where we can't get up close to see the facial animations and no hand-gestures or moving around in conversation.

 

Do copy the in-gameplay dialogue wheel though. That was an amazing evolution of interactive dialogue in DA:I.

Something like the permasnark-Hawke wouldn't fly in the Mass Effect universe. I would argue it doesn't work in the Dragon Age universe either, no matter how fun it is. No one would employ someone who doesn't take anything seriously.

Actually I personally find monotone antagonist that is "I shall rule the world" boring.But if some like that needs to be putted again in game then I prefer for him/her to be more like Kai Leng.Why?Know why Sephiroth was such great villain?Because he killed Arieth/Aries,the person who both protagonist and players cared about,that is what made Sephiroth such great villain because he made it personal for you to want to kill him(not simply I must kill him to save the world but no personal feels against him beside that)no in Sephiroth case you went to kill him to save the world true but also to get payback for Arieth/Aries.Same as Kai Leng who also takes life of one or two of yours ex-companions(depending on way you played) and he as well makes it personal for you wanting to kill him and hate him.But someone like Cory and Saren...nope because they never made it personal beside the fact that they were about to scr*w the world...I more wanted to kill Udina entire time then Saren.So no these kind of villain are too goddamn boring and I played more then enough video games to roll my eyes from disappointment when such villains come.FC3 gave me crazy Vaas that was toco-loco way too much...but hell I loved that bastard,FC4 gives such "villain" who compared to "good guys" is pure saint and that is what I did liked about it because he wasn't classical evil that you just wanted to get rid off instead "good guys" in FC4 were ones that you wanted to get rid off.

Still speaking of ME4 villain I would prefer if for big change they gave a woman to be main villain.Now at least that for change they could put.
