My husband and I bought the collectors edition of this game. In the past, bonus DLC (like for fable 2) was downloaded from the marketplace, and both our gamertags could use it. Does this new system mean that only ONE of us can use the bonus content? Would we have needed to buy a copy for both of us to both get the benefit of bonus content?

Yes, I think that's what it means. EA requires you to have an e-mail linked with your Gamertag, so assuming you aren't using the same e-mail for both accounts (which I don't think you are), this means you would need two separate pre-ordered bonuses to get the additional content. That is, of course, if we can even get the confusion and hassle sorted out first.

Good question. From what I understand, no. It should work for all accounts on the xbox. Once it's downloaded it's on the harddrive of the box and should be unlocked in the game. EA had to play nice with Xbox's DLC system even through the are using this extra layer of confirmation/download. :P

That's... really dumb, and disappointing, if that's the case. If this is how EA is doing their DLC from now on, I doubt we'll be buying much of their products anymore. We like to play games together, as I'm sure plenty of families do, and we really can't afford to buy multiple copies of a game for something as dumb as this.

I linked my redemption codes to an old email (the email linked with my gamer tag) and when it asked me to log into my account I logged into a NEW ea account which is under a different email, thinking that the codes were linked with the gamer tag and not the EA account, now It wont let me change accounts.
Basically my codes are linked under an old account and I logged into a new one.
Can EA fix this?

Actually this person is 100 PERCENT WRONG. Doing that locks you out of Cerebus. Chris, did you even TRY WHAT YOU SAID BEFORE YOU TYPED IT? Or is everyone who works for Bioware and EA just that stupid?

This is my favorite post of the day

Time to traverse this chaos, Forgive me if this has probably been posted in some form. Should i wait on entering my collectors and black storm code. Seems to be a problem entering it throught he social site. I wish they couldve done it like dragon age where you could enter the code in the menu and the cool social uploading.

YES. Do NOT put in the codes yet until EA has sorted this mess out. I wouldn't even suggest putting your cerberus code in, because if you enter your terminus code on a different account other than the one you put in for the linked account with your xbox, you'll have a dlc on each account.

There seems to be some confusion by Gamestop customers when they enter their Cerberus promotion code in the activation screen.

Please do this:
Go to the Code Redemption page here: http://social.bioware.com/redeem/
Enter the Cerberus code you received from Gamespot (This applies to both PC and Xbox 360 copies)
PC Users will get a file to download and install. Please do so. Then restart the game and you will get your Cerberus activation.
Xbox 360 users DO NOT need to download the file. Simply redeem the code, restart your game and you will get access to the Cerberus network.

We hope this makes things clearer. We are adding this message to the redemption page now as well.

Except it isn't always working. Is it?

BioWare taking footnotes from EA- are you guys trying to be a shoddy company with a bad reputation outside of the sports video game area? Seriously?

why couldnt they have just bound the promo stuff to the upc code instead of the trying to form a new link across 3 networks. i mean i already have my emails linked to my one gamertag. i log in to ea with either one and they both have the same gamertag. no offense but technicians have no common sense. i have no idea how they could mess something up as simple as a login enter the upc then your promo so badly. for a speedy fix they should have reset the codes instead of all this troubleshooting a obviously convoluted system

annihilator27: You're okay with the Cerberus but just make sure that if and when you put your terminus code in, that it is on the exact same e-mail account that is linked with your Gamertag. EA has screwed a large number of us because we had previously unknown accounts with them.

This does not help! People are regerstering online and entering their codes like it says to to on the back of the card. However when you begin to play mass effect 2 It automatically creates a alternate EA account and does not link with the bioware account. Does anyone know how to log in to the account created by the 360?

They're not very smart, dividing up all promised DLC content into separate codes rather than 1, offering no support other than reiterating the instructions. Genius. Brilliant.

Meanwhile I've spent hours trying in vain to access an EA account via the game, on the phone, and a failed chat session.

I'm thinking maybe I just pirate this for the PC and call it even.

This is BS. I want my armor, like others, plain and SIMPLE. My Xbox and ea account e-mails are different, this should not/NEVER be an issue. Come up with a better solution to redeeming the armor. There are tons of pissed off customers, beyond those who are posting here. At this point, you should  just make the DLC available on XBOX Live to everyone and say screw it, the system to redeem the content failed. At this point we don't need some solution that requires tons of account modifications and linking accounts, we need a solution of good faith.
Just fix it, we don't really care if everyone gets the armor for free, I just want mine.

What he said. I think we deserve some type of reprimand for having to go through this ridiculousness.

EA has no idea what they got themselves into. They better have a solution fast for this.
