So, does it make a difference if I import creature parts for research ? Do we get some damage bonus to rage demons if we bring in some smoldering core ? I g

Anyone know if the bonuses these items provide are a one time only thing or can you get multiple bonuses from say turning in 10 fennic fangs

 

seriously it seems i keep getting bonuses for things i have already turned in before

I didn't know about this until recently, but there are bars at the bottom of each codex, and when that bar is full, you get a damage bonus against those.

The damage bonus you get is for agaist the group to which they belong not for the individual creatures (beasts, darkspawn, red Templars etc). Once you have researched a particular creature the items seem to stop dropping.

And don't forget to turn in research BEFORE selling your valuables. For reasons I can't begin to fathom bioware decided to include research items in the valuables pile by default instead of giving them their own slot like crafting items. So if your first stop is to offload your valuables you've also been selling g your research . I found this out the hard way when I started wondering why I never had any research items even though I had killed a ton of mobs only to find out I had been selling them all.
