For some reason I cannot post in the DA:I combat & strategy forum and before anyone asks, I can post in all other DA:I forums.

Same issue as you mate, don't know what the deal is.

The only place I can post is on this website. People say I need to bind a game to my account and I did somewhere but I don't remember when to go to check. Why does it even matter? I got an account, let me post. Geez. What's the difference?

Unfortunately the powers that be don't seem to care, based on the absence of any (helpful) feedback from them....

Just noticed that I also cannot post in the New Player Guide, Customizations and Multiplayer subforums.

The DA:I forums' permissions are a bit haphazard, but if you have a Dragon Age game registered (it doesn't seem to matter which one) then you can post in all of them.
If you click on your profile photo, you can go into your profile, and I believe you can link your DA profile to this one from there. I did it that way, but it was almost two years ago, and I forget the exact steps.
You should be able to accomplish the same by linking your gamertag (whether PS, XBL, Origin etc.) to this profile, as long as the gamertag has at least one Dragon Age game registered to it (I believe.)
It may take a little while, but the developers and website administrators do check these forums, so one should be able to clarify the details before too long.

If you don't see your Xbox or PlayStation account listed then you aren't using the correct account.

But if you can post in the others (which I think you need a Dragon Age game for) why not that section?

You need to make sure that you're using the same Origin account in-game as you do here on the forums. To confirm visit the following page and check the "Connected Accounts" section:

If you don't see your Xbox or PlayStation account listed then you aren't using the correct account.
Thanks. Since I'm not a fan of multiple accounts in a single forum: There isn't a way to link the origin account to the Bioware account I'm using here, is there? It seems I can only change the password but not the e-mail address associated.
BTW: Those are strange rules which subfora one is allowed to post in...

Talk to EA to get them to merge your accounts.

It's unlikely that EA will merge accounts. We originally thought it was a fairly simple process but it can cause a lot of problems with some EA games.
What we can do is merge two forum accounts; since they exist only local to this database with just a link back to your Origin account ID. That will take all your posts and PM's and merge them under a single account.

Change of the schema to be self type referential I guess? When is it going to be implemented?

You'll have to ask them to do that
