I'm thinking about playing my arcane warrior differently. With the usual melee build, it's just 1 main skill and 2-3 utility skills, leaving little room for using all the other interesting skills on this character. Inspired by the CC/combo builds of the keeper, I want to build a caster arcane warrior using mainly CC/weakening skills, setting up/detonating combos while still have some capability of dealing direct damage.
The build will be something similar to this:
Spirit Blade
Pull of the Abyss
Chain Lightning
Dispel
But since I haven't tested the build myself yet, I still have some doubts.
1. Is it better to ditch spirit blade entirely if I want to mainly be a caster? Slot a utility or another weakening?
2. Is pull of the abyss a good choice for weakening? It is a cool skill but the CD is quite long for consistent combo priming. Also, will it cancel more useful status like sleep on targets?
3. Which is better for detonating combos? Dispel or mind blast? Usefulness of dispel seems quite limited when not detonating, but the upgrade for mind blast doesn't work and you take more time to recover from animation than the enemy from stagger...
4. Will combo damage count towards damage you deal and strengthen your barrier?
