So I tried to create a Bow using a masterworks ingredient and it came out as a normal "Yellow" crafted item. My question, to tell if it becomes a mastercrafted item, does it state that or maybe become a unique (Purple icon)? I picked an ingredient that would raise my stam by 15, but when the bow is equipped, my stam is still at 100. Just trying to understand how do you know that your item became a masterwork? I even tried crafting with Dragon Teeth over and over, but never saw anything that tells me that it became a mastercraft item.

I believe it will say crit success and from what I recall will also have the masterwork title in the name? Personally I prefer the fade touched abilities to the random 10% stat increase that masterwork may give you, but thats just me....happy crafting! :)

Fade-touched items simply have a unique effect, determined by the item. The bow you crafted should have an entry when you inspect it that says it increases your Stamina by 15. As for why it's not working, I don't know. Obviously it's a bug, but it's one I've never heard of, so I don't know what to do about it. The only thing I can think of is to back out of the menu entirely after equipping the bow, then head into your Character Sheet to let the stats update. I've known some games that weren't able to update certain things like that until you'd left the menu. For example, in Fallout New Vegas, if you drank a bottle of Sunset Sasparilla and got a Sunset Sasparilla Star Bottle Cap from it, checking how many you had wouldn't show the new one. You actually had to exit your pause menu. That gave the game a chance to process the fact that you had the new item, and the next time you opened your menu (even if you literally just closed the menu, then opened it again), you would find that the new item had been added to your inventory.

As for Critical Crafting materials, it either works or it doesn't. If it works, the stats of the item are all increased by 10%. This not only means the damage/armor, but also the extra effects. The thing is, if the Critical Craft is successful, you're actually notified that it has succeeded. If you don't recieve the notification, then it failed. Unfortunately, as far as I'm aware, the method for how the game determines whether a Critical Crafting attempt is successful is currently unknown.

Ok thanks for clearing that up. I have been reading other posts, but no one ever said as to how you knew if it was successful. Thanks

Not sure myself, but will give it a try and see if it will finally start showing on the stats.

Thanks guys for helping me understand the Mastercrafting a little bit more.  :D

It won't rename your weapon, if that's what you're asking. The weapon or armor will have 10% better stats then expected based on the materials you used. It is immediately obvious.

By the way, crafted items are yellow.  Period.
