Bioware upon reading the OP:
This
Besides the Christmas season and all of the Game of the Year awards?
Also, after two weeks across all platforms:
Dragon Age: Origins - 720k
Dragon Age II - 900k
Dragon Age: Inquisition - 1.53m
And this.

Actually, yes. But I won't do a thing. And I have no agenda.

Read my entire post carefully.
I read that you believe a marketing tagline is "illegal".
I have no idea to read anything else from you, as that shows me that you're, quite frankly, off your ****** rocker.
Seriously, BW, if u win any more GOTY awards, u should just immediately make a DAI - Remastered next year to squeeze more money out of fanboys and fangirls.
It's essentially "forever" or until the product isn't for sale anywhere or we go out of business. So basically I'm saying in the long run I expect DAI will outsell DAO.
Well, I did get my son Pokémon Ruby for Christmas so even I have supported the competition in that sense
no offense but Omega and alpha s have no bugs and it is a well loved remake of the old games that pre date Dragon age, I do not agree with the statement you made by pokemon not being in the same category as Dragon age, DA is supposed to be an rpg right? well so is pokemon, unless the definition of rpg has changed over the years..
Please do not take offense by this I mean no harm
on a separate note have you guys considered remaking Origins with the new engine?

I disagree handheld/mobile games and console/PC games are two different categories for games entirely
and how is Pokemon an RPG? don't get me wrong I always liked Pokemon (don't play it anymore though got bored at black/white) but it can't be compared to games like DA:I or Skyrim or GTA V etc.. (not because its worse but because its an entirely different type of game)
its more like Super Mario etc. in that category

Hmmm, I'm a gamer and I liked DA 2 even with its flaws.I don't considered Associated Press's critics to be legit, for one thing these critics gave DA 2 a good score even though most of us gamers know its not.
http://forum.bioware...is-game-or-not/
Just one of many (many, many, many) threads about why the game is bad.
Were you here when Origins released?
Because as I remember it the game also had lots of flak on forums, like for, oh, every game in history. OMG look at the consolized interface. OMG Tactics are ripped off Final Fantasy. OMG story is cliche. OMG warriors and rogues are boring. OMG sex in undies.
Unless the backlash reaches epic proportions (such as with ME3's ending), forum threads say little about how popular a game is or how well it's doing. Bethesda's forums had lots of negative posts about Skyrim (mostly about simplified systems, bugs and the awful PS3 version), didn't stop the game from selling more than 20 million copies.
A lot of games aren't awesome sauce and still get rave reviews. That actually says more about the industry as a whole than bioware. I don't hate the game by any means, but the reality is this isn't the best game ever. They could've done better. Should've done better.

Pretty much yeah.I dont get why anyone would use "critic" reviews to make a decision on a game or support an argument. But thats just me.A lot of games aren't awesome sauce and still get rave reviews. That actually says more about the industry as a whole than bioware. Or is it sarcasm?
This isn't your average sarcasm
this is
advanced sarcasm
Of course it was going to sell. And even if BW's is not making a profit, EA is basically forced to keep it alive to maintain competition. Long term planning and stuff, oligopolies and so on. and Don't forget the stock market, too. Why do you think there is two metacritic scores, one used by financial analysts and others by consumers?
Heh, it must be VERY disappointing to you that outside metacritic the game is received quite well by fans. Metacritic is considered the worst rating website by people on the internet, if you need to bring up metacritic to back up a point then you're already on shaky ground.
It doesn't really equate to quality - just quantity. It's on five platforms so if it isn't outselling Origins, there's something wrong,
keep the faith! die bioware die! ![]()

What could they even do to "remaster" this game? More textures on the nugs? Smoother blood splashes?
Wait, I know. More hair options.

Better nipples and more varying nipple shades.

as long as it comes with the $15 ancient elf robes DLC i'm happy. *seriously would pay full priced dlc for it, good i love xmas bonuses*
I want my Tevinter armors!

They are both RPGs... technically. But they couldn't possibly pull from different market demographics. They aren't available for the same platforms. They don't have any significant comparable themes. There is no reason to think that Pokemon sales would hurt DA sales in any significant way.
I want my Tevinter armors!
they will be available as mirco transactions in digitally remastered deluxe GOTY addition.

How could you forget the areola slider? One is nothing without the other.

I only agree to this if it also comes with a sassy stylist character that my Inquisitor can visit to modify her/his hair.

With a free inquisitor hat.
Inquisition is out-selling Origins at a rate of 2:1 and was just named the Associated Press' game of the year?
Clearly you should hang your heads in shame.

it didn't seem like that yesterday when you were shoving your charts in our faces it was pretty evident that you were showing us how Bioware failed and DA:I is actually a financial fiasco and flop
but now after Jarred Lee posted that all is well and your predictions were complete bullshit you of course have to continue grasping at straws and develop further crazy theories
How do you know that EA and Bioware attempted to "drastically" outsell DA:O? Maybe they just wanted this game to sell good especially after the DA2 controversy but I see what you are doing basically if even if DA:I sells well you will still come to these forums trolling and saying yeah well it didn't "drastically" outsell Origin or couldn't go near Skyrims sales
smart troll of course you were never wrong and never will be
Like I said, that is a figment of you imagination. You are just reading what you want to read, I suppose that you are simply in need of a scapegoat because the DA:I forums are full of negativity.
All I said is that DA:I isn't doing so hot according to charts (it even fails to chart in most countries now), which means that their (expensive) butchering and dumbing down of the franchise with the attempt to (drastically) improve sales over DA:O was in vain. According to charts DA:I can't be doing much better DA:O, although I have no idea if DA:I is or will be a financial fiasco or not. The reception of DA:I is mixed, and it isn't my fault that people aren't as interested in DA:I as they were in DA:O.
Anyway, i'd wait for an official press release with sales numbers before I start waving flags in victory if I were you. In before your next hissy fit.
So, to your mind, sales are flawed. Awards are rigged.
But the true test of whether something is well-received or not is how many people whinge about it on an internet message board.
Yes, that makes sense.
You said there are only three whiners on the forums and I countered by posting a link to a single thread (one of many sources) full of DA/Bioware fans who dislike or hate the game. Metacritic user scores aren't looking so hot. Sales aren't flawed, they just aren't looking so hot according to charts. ME3 got GOTY awards too, so I am not surprised that DA:I got some too.
There is no need to pout or be in denial about the fact that the game has a mixed reception. While many fans love the dumbed down gameplay, many other fans (strongly) dislike it.
Besides the Christmas season and all of the Game of the Year awards?
Also, after two weeks across all platforms:
Dragon Age: Origins - 720k
Dragon Age II - 900k
Dragon Age: Inquisition - 1.53m
Too bad those aren't official numbers. VGchartz numbers are flawed and extremely innacurate estimates, my friend.
Although I do find it amusing that you are posting flawed sales data from them, even though DA:I fails to chart in their global top 10 only three weeks after release.

Which is much more than can be said for Origins. We all find it amusing that you have your blinkers on, but we'd appreciate it if you came up with some new points and not completely discredited ones. K thnx.
HAHAHA, praying that this game will flop is hilarious.
It doesn't seem to be flopping, it just isn't doesn't seem to be selling as good as DA:O and the reception is very mixed.
Their dumbing down and butchering of the franchise was in vain as it seems.
