I went to hunt Vinsomer after finishing the Red Hunt quest and noticed there was a Dwarven cave high up on the right side of the field where you fight Vinsomer. There's two Dwarven statues with arms held up high on both side of the cave entrance. Anyone know if there's a way to get up there? I've looked (jumped) all around but couldn't reach it.

Haha, I did the same thing for a few minutes. You can't though because they have an invisible wall around that area. You can tell because if you try and climb from the side of the rocks you get pushed off by it. Glad I wasn't the only one who noticed it, though.

I think they messed up with some of the dragons forgetting to put in a BIG stash of shtuff cuz as everybody knows Dragons are Colossal Hoarders, they have an obsession with shiny stuff. Watch The Hobbit look at the way Smaug hoards over the treasure, that's the best example of it that I've seen anywhere. Vinsomer & the Abyssal High Dragon not to mention the Northern Hunter to name a few don't have a stashes either. The Ferelden Frostback is the only 1 I have noticed that has a decent stash.

I have noticed a conspicuous lack of dragon hoards in the game. There's loot from the dragon, but I assume it was collected at the same time the materials were harvested, since it's in the same location. There is a cave that opens up underneath after you kill the Abyssal High Dragon. It's right below the platform with the pillars, and I think it's walled off until the dragon knocks the entrance clear when she lands. I don't recall there being a whole lot of loot, but there is a cave.

The cave is a warden tomb that contains two mosaic pieces and some loot.

Yeah, the loot is nothing to write home about, but if you're going for the collections, you gotta get those mosaics.

I don't think I've seen any Dragon hoarders in DA games, at least the High Dragons outside the dropped loot. The High Dragon in DA:O was sitting near a pit of sulfur. The High Dragon in DA2 sat in an empty place after burning down all the caravans. In DA universe High Dragons are as intelligent as a smart dog, so I don't see a reason for them to hoard stuff in large amounts.

Yeah, the treasure tends to be incidental: it just happened to be near the dragon. Everything else you get from the corpse was likely inside of it.

The only hoarder that comes to mind is that one dragon in the Brecilian ruins in DA:O. It had piles of treasure you could loot. But that was one of the younger female dragons, and not the full grown High Dragons.
It's possible that we usually don't see a treasure hoard because we always fight High Dragons when they come to the surface, and I imagine any hoards they have would be in their cave lairs.
