We'll get a new stage thats different from the other ones that we could find our way out of in our sleep by now, aswell - if I understand it correctly. Not a new map but a new stage for each map.

I dont see the point with releasing DLC unless theres atleast a new map, new characters to play, new weapons, and especially a new faction.

And fix tons of problems, like making the Reaver worthwhile to play again. I mean, they said they had fixed it but not deployed it with the fix because it didnt make it. I think not being able to use the coreskill on a character like 1/3 of the runs is i vital issue that needs to be fixed.

So yeah, bottom line - I'm also dissapointed and I havent even seen it yet.

You are describing an expansion pack. This is just an add on as far as i am concerned. Ill wait till i play it before making full judgement though.

I hope not. I dont think it would demand that much work as you already have all the content in the SP-mode.

This DLC is not a staggered release.  You'll see it soon enough on other platforms--they all have slightly different release timings.

Well... there are tons of environments and enemies in single player that could be put to good use in MP, no?

It's not like they have to make a new game...

I do agree that the statement "not that much work" is possibly an understatement.

I think they are going to be rolling out these mini expansions more frequently, just a guess on my part.  not sure if they have a set schedule or if they are just going to do it as their telemetry tells them the game needs a boost.

 

I do wish they'd make more of an effort to publicize them with proper trailers though like they did with ME3mp, their expansion trailers were awesome.

I find it very concerning to find out from random guy on the forum's that Free DLC is available on another platform and Not find out from an official Boiware announcment.

Really makes me wonder what's going on in house at Boiware, is there no leadership? No direction?

Surely not?  It doesn't seem big enough to count as a "DLC", it's not like the scope of any of  ME3MP's DLC:

 

Resurgence:  2x maps, 6x characters, 3x weapons, 4x items

Rebellion:  2x maps, 6x characters, 3x weapons, 1x new objective, new equipment slot

Earth:  3x maps, 6x characters, 3x weapons, 5x mods, 11x gear, 1x new objective, Platinum difficulty

Retaliation:  15x new enemies, 16x new characters, 3x weapons, 6x gear, 3x ammo, hazard map variants, Challenges

Reckoning:  6x characters, 7x weapons, 2x gear

 

So even the smallest added at least characters (proper characters with different skill sets, not armour skins) and weapons.  Adjusting pathing, and not-really-enemies, seems more akin to balance changes where Bioware would fiddle what enemies appeared in what waves, and the Firebase White changes - not really DLC worthy.

I mean they could do a Shaman /mage enemy, who uses wildlife as their troops.  At least use non-human beasts properly.

I guess we will have to wait and see.  While I agree with you 100% I have very little faith in Bioware/EA given how poorly DAMP has been managed this far.  I would not be surprised to find out that this is the first of the 5 free DLCs and that there will be more later that will cost money.  Sadly, the lessons learned from ME3MP do not apply to DAMP.

Ah thanks for clarifying. I remember reading an article on eurogamer that xbox would get dlc first.

No promises, but I think that is the current plan for MP DLC.

Hope it includes a few bug fixes as well. Crashing near the weapons cache, Katari appearance, unable to move when joining a match....etc
