I'm not a dog person and I agree with Dorian that nugs are creepy looking, so I'd probably just want a normal house cat. Or maybe get a crow (raven?) from Leliana. That could be cool.

Did you read those notes left around....hmmm, the word for this eludes me but the place where the keep all the birds at Skyhold. Those nasty things will peck out your eyes.

A wyvern. Prancing around the throneroom, scaring those nobles, and laying by the hearth to take a nap. Or sitting on the balcony outside my bedroom.
