Not only is MP still unsat; get kicked and lose xp in about every fifth game, glitches galore, unbreakable vases, and I could go on and on; BUT can someone answer this;

 

HOW on earth are people getting away with cheating in a game you must connect through BioWare servers? (I can see single player people getting away with cheating off line, but who cares)

 

However, I have played MP a ton and play with some of the legit people in the top of the leader board; but it is common knowledge that some people have hacked there way in some of the top spots. I have witness people with unlimited guard (yes, i recorded it and reported it)  

 

While I personally do not care about being on the leader-board myself, I still think the integrity of the MP game is in question when someone can rocket to the top of the leader board in two days.....

 

 

BioWare; you need to detect, investigate, fix and ban as needed ASAP!

Who cares about the leaderboards? I'd rather they fix the stability issues, I crashed three times today mid-game.

I have played quite a lot of DAI multiplayer the last few weeks and haven't been kicked even once. Were you maybe AFK, pulling ahead of the group or cursing and yelling over the mic?

Crashes once in a while? Yes. Bugs that needs you to leave the game (or try to make the leader leave the game)? Yes.

 

And hackers, well I doubt they will play for much longer, I would imagine it would get dull really quickly. I also don't know whether BW actually bans people at the moment for hacking, if reported or otherwise.

MP isn't complex enough to warrant actually caring about the leaderboards. If this were PVP it would be a different story but as it is now, DAI leaderboards are the smallest circle-jerk possible in a multiplayer mode.

I'd rather them fix the balance issues with some characters than worry about the leader boards. The Katari needs some fixing for his guard for example. He is basically wet tissue paper without it unless I missed something in my early build. I am only a level 5 or so.

The only reason people cheat are leaderboards, achievements, and loot. If the game was played for fun it would be pointless to cheat. Seen players with invincible guard or being able to revive beyond 3x and instantly. What to say?

It's not the cheaters that are the problem.

It's you caring about them what makes them a problem.

Ignore them.  Enjoy your new, less stressful life.

Nobody gives a toss about the leaderboards.  Who cares if people cheat their way there.

I personally don't care if someone is at the top of the leaderboards, especially when the game is so glitched out that I can't play most of the time anyways. I'd rather that crap be addressed first not some randoms ability to epeen harder then you. Unfortunately, I think most of my problems are X1 related so they can't be fixed by Bioware. Seriously, DO NOT BUY A XBOX ONE. You'll only regret it.

I have an Xbox one and I am not having this problem.  Do you ever do a hard re-set on your machine?  Hold the button on the front of the xbox one for 10 seconds and it'll do a complete shut down.  I do this at the end of every day.

I do it all the time, it rarely makes a difference. It's been a trashbox since I bought it. Too much terrible crap for me to even begin to list, it's that awful of a machine.

Which makes why anyone would cheat to rise up in them even more bizarre.  There is a type of human on this planet I just don't get.

Because YOU don't care, why should others?  That is until YOU care about something yourself, then I bet you take to the forums and whine away.  As I stated, I personally do not care about leader boards, but I understand there purpose and the big picture here...and no offense...some of you obviously do not.

 

The more people who play a game, the more EA, BioWare (insert company here) will invest in it.  Some people, like some friends of mine, spend hours and hours of MP game play because they feel some minor form of self actualization if they make the leader-boards.  They are not alone, a significant number of gamers feel this way.  If they feel cheated, they will move on to another game and that end turns hurts all of us.

I like my Xbox One. I like my PC also. My only disappointment with the Xbox One is a lack of games that I could not get on my PC.

The thing with hackers in DAMP is they can modify the client based info, stats and other things but items and gold cannot be modified. If they want to cheat theit way to the top of the leaderboard and get bored with the game then let them, the sooner they get bored the better it is for all of us.

Such concerns are legitimate and reasoning sound.

 

Indeed, in theory, the more people play the more potential MP will have and that is one of the reasons I advocated post-launch spending in from of micro-transactions, which already exist anyway. I do not follow Bioware developer blogs so I cant say what they plans are, however, since DLC are supposed to be free, micro-transactions seem not attractive enough at the moment, and the whole P2P model has issues, I would not be too confident to assume that EA/Bioware means this MP to grow and thrive in the sense you describe. Catching cheaters, making necessary changes to prevent cheating, requires time and energy just like adding content so there are pros and cons to weight.

2.  I play some with the #1 player on my platform.  He is a really chill and helpful dude.  He knows some tricks and ins and outs of the game, but he is not a cheater.

 

3.  If you're playing on PC then....thats pc gamers....lol.  I don't know any who can play a game legit.  The first thing they do is search for console commands

Hmmm.  While i don't care about leaderboards, and as a PS4 player, especially PC leaderboards, what i do care about it cheaters getting a lot of promotions, gold (from speed runs), skewing the stats Bioware look at - who go "hmmm, we should balance this, as it looks too easy".

Lets say the cheat-speedrunners class of choice is the Reaver (yeah, yeah, i'm sure its not), so Bioware think it's overpowered for Perilous, as it's got a very high extraction rate;  nerf it hard, and everyone else suffers, while they move onto the next best speed running kit.

 

Ditto if people make posts or suggestions/nerfs on things which most legitimate people are unable to have reasonably unlocked at this point.

hello now you do. i am a pc gamer who plays all of my games legit as do my friends that I play with. i play some consoles too and tbh I find the same kind of people on consoles. Everyone will take advantage of the system to if they can find a way to do it in any game. To me this is no different than say using a known over powered gun that is easy to exploit in say call of duty (bal 27 anyone)

My intent is long term. Remember COD World at War?  One of the first great co-op FPS and created the Zombie craze?.  However, thanks to cheaters, including console, they made the game unplayable (people flying everywhere, GOD mode in MP)  I am just raising the concern that cheaters can destroy MP, and BioWare owes it to legit players to do everything possible to catch and ban cheaters in a MP platform.

 

To simply say it does not matter is naive..Game On!  Fawlcon

 

PS: I did not include the names of the cheaters I personally witnessed, it would only deteriorate to he said he said, but I encourage anyone witnessing such things to record and report; as I did.

Guys... no offense, but pls don't start with this. Make your video(s) or pics, report them to BW and move on. ME3MP forum was FLOODED with "I caught this guy missile-glitching" posts. You could barely find useful threads because of it.

I agree that  posting this guy did this or that is not good within forums for your stated reason.  I agree to just report them and move on, however, if the problem continues, (say every couple weeks); going to forum to tell BioWare to work harder on the problem is legit...just one gamer's opinion.
