I'm looking to make some new armor, I'm near the end of the game, just finished up with the Well of Sorrows mission. I want it to be the best I can possibly make. Where can I find some great Fade Touched Bonuses like Fade Touched Silverite(5 Guard Per Hit)? or Fade Touched Dales Loden Wool(+30% Guard)?

Also, where do I find the best Armor and Weapon Schematics? Who sells them? Or where can I pick them up?

Thanks.

Hissing Waste merchant has the best Armor Schematics, need the short List perk for the very best, and if u was Fade Touched Silverite u gonna have to farm Silverite in the Emprise and hope to get lucky. Btw Fade Touched Dales Loden Wool is 30% focus gain or 10% chance to drop Caltrops on a hit.

In Empire du Lion you can use an hour or so on hunting Snofleurs. Its pretty easy and actually a bit boring, but you can circle the lake.
Their skin are Tier 3. But they also drop fade touched for masterwork:
On Hit Heal 1% Of Maximum Health

I think I received 3 of those out of 1.000 skins. You also get a second type of fade touched (don't remember which type).

On the same map you can walk from camp no. 2 all the way up to camp no. 3 and collect both Dawnstone(Tier 3) and Silverite (Tier 3). Silverite also drops fade touched with 'On Hit Heal 1% Of Maximum Health'.

In this way you also get a lot of Tier 3 crafting material. Then you can equip your entire team with high rate armors and weapons. Pure luxury.

But as I said, it takes a while. I used six hours on this a couple of days ago. But it is worth it.

FT Snofleurs is On Hit Heal 1% Of Maximum Health or chance on hit for 12 sec of Horn of Valor (a very good one). FT Silverite is Guard on hit or chance for Chain lightning on hit (apparently bugged).

As previously mentioned, if you're willing to shell out 8k (7k or so with perks to reduce costs), the merchant in the canyon of Hissing Wastes on the central western end is one of the best locations for end-game schematics.  If you also have the "Short List" perk and some patience, that merchant will offer at times 1 special offer.  This offer may be a Superior version of the "Armor" type for Battlemage, Prowler or Battlemaster (higher utility slots of the three main trees of generic armor).  These will sell for 15k or so.  The Keeper Robe mechanic, for elven spellcasters, drops from one of the High Dragons (Highland Ravager in Empris du Lion I believe, debatably the most powerful dragon in the game, but regardless highest level.).  The Keeper robe is excellent on its own, but I do not recall if you can add any upgrades that will drop to it, which may make it inferior in your estimation.  It is also elf-only.  Same issues apply to Dalish and Templar armors.

Top-Tier weapon schematics are sold at the keep in Empris du Lion.  With the "Short List," Yavanalis (Level 23 unique staff) sometimes is available for 15k.  Its stats are comparable to end-game crafted staffs, but considered non-ideal by many players.  The "Sulevin Blade" is created through a quest into the Cradle of Sulevin, and crafts a blade that is arguably more powerful than any 2 handed weapon you can create in the game, with unique abilities not duplicatable otherwise.  Its stats are debatably non-ideal, but it is, without question, one of the most powerful weapons in the game and will hold its own in comparison to crafted gear.

If you do not like the "Armor" tree of schematics and prefer the Mail or Coat for whatever reason, you will be relying upon Tier 3 drops from high level chests.  Zones for these include Cradle of Sulevin, Empris du Lion, Emerald Graves (particularly the mansion instance) and Hissing Wastes.  It's a matter of luck to get them.  (Or farming if you wish to learn those techniques.)

FT obsidian seems to be a lot easier to find (dragon area of Hinterlands and Crestwood). It's only +3 guard/hit, but that isn't too shabby.

There is a chest in the Valamar instance in Hinterlands that drops Tier 3 schematics and weapons/armor. Just make sure you leave 1 item in the chest and zone in/out. It's very easy. It's a great way to start farming Tier 3 before you even get Skyhold!

I think the save/load trick also works their so you can just sit in front of it instead of have to leave the instance.

I found 2 fade touched silverite near the area that the dragon is sleeping in Emprise du Lion. When hit, get 5 guard. Another person wrote on another thread that he/she found 3

2 fade touched obsidon can be found in the Hinterlands. One in Redcliffe though you need to have the deft hands perk  to open the door and another after fighting the frostback dragon in the boat at the end of the dock. When hit, get 3 guard

Merchant in Hissing Wastes has t3 armor. Expensive so bring a lot of coin

Merchant at Suledins keep, after capturing it, has t3 schematics

Seems like most ability belts/rings are bugged, including the 30% focus gain belt. I read it somewhere on these forums.

Have you tried removing the belt and checked if the 30% gain is from your armor or vice versa?
