We get it ...

13613536661273220406.GIF

Haha made my morning.

OP no longer has a reason to play the MP because AW is OP.  LOL.

How come it seems to me that the OP is one of those players that runs ahead of the group to jack up his score and lets the rest of his team do the looting for him?

lol, we totally booted a level 17 aw off of routine the other day because of running ahead to jack up his score. He ditched two rooms just to get to the next area! I totally called that he would do it too since were all level 1's, why else would a level 17 even be on routine?

NERF THE AW!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Let's rename one of the most notorious and iconic enemies in the entire series to "the guy."

I had no idea that's what he was called. To be fair, this is my first DA game, and I still haven't played SP.

You should know, that a player playing level 15+ AW and isn't nub would be maximizing his gold/xp by doing threatening/perilous, not routine. If I was a low level and a level 17 arcane warrior wanted to carry a team in routine, I'd be quite grateful.

It is apparent that quite a few users here come with ME3 MP insight. The context here is little different as single player and previous installments influence such context I believe.

It is really problem, say from ME3 perspective, to have very strong class like AW? As long as its not required nor essential to experience what the game offers and its optional, it should not hinder experiences of those who choose not to play AW. That other classes have issues of their own is for another debate.

No pull of the abyss? Seems manditory imo for AW

Yeah pull of the abyss is like saying please place your nuke here. Would be nice to better manage attack blocks though. I usually fade step away and attack something else unless it threatens the party in some way.

You say that like  the best tank class and build is not a good addition to a group.

perilous demon commander without fade step or fade cloak is sad days:(

It is but I swear 149 out of every 150 AW i play with are spec'd exactly the same, the other methods work just as well in the right mix.

There is so much wrong with this guys post I don't know where to begin. So much he does not understand and obviously thinks hes a king because he managed to be decent with the easiest class in the game... *clap* *clap* *clap*  Keep making claims about players being noob and being wrong about your point LOL. Too much comedy for one post.

It's still the fastest way to get willpower. That, you can't disagree with

I disagree. Go Keeper and your group wont fail. Clear times are faster than solo AW always. So you are wrong.

Why would you play multiplayer in order to solo?  /boggle

I love the Arcane Warrior because I love ancient elves and his armor looks like Abelas'.  My Warden was also an AW because of lore reasons, not because I wanted the most OP class imaginable.

Turns out I really enjoy the way the class plays.  I'm not a FOTM spec kind of person, so I don't have Pull of the Abyss, no matter how much other people say it's "necessary".  I do quite well zipping around with upgraded Fade Step, TYVM.  (I may or may not also be cackling madly.)

I will be quite disappointed if the entire class was nerfed because some people decided the best way to exploit its mechanics.  :(

Welcome to BSN, where if a class is fun to play and you hardly ever die while playing it, because you're totally pwning enemies... it's op and needs a nerfbat. Pardon me, "balancing."

I don't understand that at all, what is a "TC name"?

Also i can't work out if this is a disguised nerf thread, or an ePeen thread - anyone?

Sorry for the late reply, I went back to DAMP after reading this...

I'm using TC as an acronym for Topic Creator.

Everytime I see a post like this or a "Nerf AW plzzzszsz" I picture a crying baby with a gun pointed @ it. Cause someone must be forcing ppl to play as AW and not let them back out of lobbies that have AW or heck even i dont know not play as AW

You do realize nerfing it doesn't mean changing it's playstyle or making it unplayable? It just means it should not be possible to solo Perilous.

Our influence nerfed the Krysae, but before that, we held the line! Our influence nerfed the Phoenix, but before that, we held the line! Our influence will nerf the AW! In the battle today, we will hold the line!

Leave the effin AIUI-mage alone. Let's see you make a Perilous solo vid using the Katari WITHOUT using a RTE tool. Until then your e-peen is coming up short.

The problem is, that the Arcane Warrior's ability to solo Perilous ties in directly to how the class functions -- ie, barrier generation.  If that was changed, the class would crumble.

Personally, I wouldn't have a problem with the Abyss spell being nerfed.  I don't use it, and I think it's a crutch.  And no, I'm not just saying that because "I don't use it".

I usually prefer playing without PotA Fade step does make the final fight much easier, wouldn't say that it is necessarily better than PotA it's more of a preference thing. PotA is great if you are in a good party that can handle the bossfight but since I play mostly in PUGs I personally prefer Fade step.

You can stop reading, but the game is finished. There's no reason for me to play. Every other class is  suboptimal and clear times are much longer.

Are you serious when you say you want to promote your champion 100 times to ensure the stat is meaningful? Do you even play perilous? Have you even finished it? The burst dmg received  is insane in perilous, so 1 constitution for like what 0.5% melee defence and tiny HP. so no I am not going to play 400 hours or whatever just to promote 100 times, even then ,you still get one shotted by the chest spirit and boss nukes. When I have already finished the perilous mode countless times.

Low intelligence gay_warden troll. As I said, its not debatable, the game has been finished like many others like me countless times on perilous.

Yeah I think I'm going to take a break as well. AW is so OP it's game-breaking. Between it's amazing defensive abilities and possibly the best crowd control skill in the game, it's hands-down the best class. I think they'll do some balancing to the game at some point and I'll come back.

I don't want a nerf so much, though. I think the game needs a fourth difficulty that forces team synergy or death. I think the other classes need some small niche buffs. This would make a lot of the niche skills that are being ignored, and team combos, critically important - like they were in ME3. Right now most players don't execute team combos or build with the party in mind in that regard. Half my builds I never get to really utilize because everyone is just doing brunt damage (which by the way is a slow way to run it in the first place) and that's not what I enjoyed about the previous BioWare multi-player.

I had some shithead trying to pretend Blizzard is more team-oriented than Brittle Glyph for god sake. My guess is most players don't understand the combo system because they don't have to. He tried to call the Necromancer's bonus damage to enemies under Panic a "combo." He doesn't realize the combo I was talking about does over 6,000 damage. I can't find players using great skills like Whirlwind because they aren't good skills individually. Then they turn around and blame you for not being a team player when you ask them if they have any characters that can do setups or executions. It's a whole group of star-children missing the point of the game's mechanics and it isn't fun.

I want that fourth difficulty where it's so hard you can't function without tag team tactics. That's what kept me coming back to ME3. Even once we were geared up, execution as a team was still a blast to play.

Sorry, but in ME3 not even Platinum was encouraging you to work as a team. It was all Lone Wolves or you'll be in each others way and die. The combos were also primed and detonated by the same character, working in tandem was rarely seen and very unreliable due to how the primers stacked.

In DAMP, the combos are hard to accomplish because they require time to setup and coordinate. It's just faster to kill them with brute force, even on Perilous.

Challenge?

Self-gratification?

ePeen?

People played sub-optimal kits in ME3MP, giving longer clear times, and less efficient runs - even after maxing their manifest.  Using the most overpowered kits and weapons was only an option, and not enforced upon one as a player.

However putting a video up of a level 1 Volus Adept with a Shuriken, and clearing Platinum was a guaranteed way of getting some kudus, vs maxed GI with <insert OPness here>.

Personally i'm really enjoying playing the Katari:  i believe this is generally considered a weak and sub-optimal kit,  but i am having more fun than playing with other kits.

Sure i get people leaving the lobby as i enter, or kick votes, presumably from those only wanting optimal kits and fast clear times... but whatever i take no offence, as they should not from my choice.

Peace, love and mung beans baby!

How would a more limited form of barrier generation "crumble" the class? It just means you're not in invincible mode all the time.

An Abyss nerf is even more pointless since solo AW doesn't use Abyss. Abyss is much better in a group. The goal is to try to nerf solo AW not team-based AW.
