I've found myself with more free time than I really should be allowed to have, and set myself a little challenge. If people are interested, I thought I'd open this up to everyone and see what happens.

 

The challenge: complete solo mastery as fast as possible.

 

This means you would need to do 1 platinum, 1 gold and 3 Silver solos OR 2 Gold, 3 Silver and 5 Bronze solos, aiming to get the quickest combined time possible.

 

The Rules:

 

Prestacious' normal challenge rules apply, i.e

 

No AC5

No 66666 glitch

No hack glitching

No Mods (Pc)

 

Extraction is required.

 

In addition (just to mix things up a bit)

 

You must use a kit from a different class (adept, soldier etc) for each solo.

Without a platinum solo, you must do at least one solo with every class, and not use a class more than twice. You should use a different kit for every solo.

 

Every Solo must be on a different map. Hazard maps count as the same map as the original in this instance.

 

You must face every enemy at least once.

 

You must use each type of weapon enough to get at least the bronze weapon medal for each solo.

Without a platinum solo you should use each type of weapon twice.

 

You can use old screens/ videos, but I would encourage people to get fresh ones.

 

I wonder if anyone can get a total time under 90 minutes? I'll be pleased if I can get one under two hours, but I bet those on PC can get some quick times.

 

EDIT: This doesn't mean you have to get a time under 90 minutes to join in- I suspect very few people can do it that fast!

Sounds like just the thing to spice it up a bit for all the soloists craving new challenges. For what it's worth, I'm in.

 

Would it be ok to submit solos done for Pres' themed challenges? As in, submit same solos both here and there?

I don´t think it´s possible to get a total time of under 90 minutes.

 

Fastest plat solo was done by ex-Clusum with 23:48 (White), if I´m correct.

Fastest Gold solo has been done by TechnoTurian with 15:46 (Glacier). Second fastest solo on another map would be ex-Clusum with 17:40 on Hydra.

If I have calculated correctly, there would be a total of 57:14 minutes. This would leave 33:26 minutes for 3 Silver solos. Makes 11:08 minutes for each silver solo.

 

No guarantee for any correctness of my calculations.  

 

Getting sub 90 minutes also requires good objectives and spawns. A high possibility of ragequits.

 

Still a nice idea.

In the Extreme version of this challenge you also create a new account for this and every failed attempt is counted towards the total time. In other words: total playing time from clean account to solo mastery.

Heldarion has both a faster plat (sub-18 with the GI) and gold (sub-15 with the fury) solo. Objectives were modded, but it's possible to get triple pizzas without modding. One need to be extremely lucky, however.

Yeah but he used AC, didn't he? Anyway, going under 25 on plat without AC should be totally doable.

That doesn't mean that some solos weren't reported in that thread, followed the same rules and managed a faster time. For example, I'm pretty sure Alquinn could manage a sub 15 with the GI and no AC, if he hasn't done that already. Can't recall.

You´re right. That might be possible.

 

IMO the main problem is, that you can´t use the same map and kit twice. So only one solo on Glacier for example.

There also remains the problem of getting good objectives. I didn´t got 3 pizzas in a plat solo so far.

I remember Me0 getting the game on PC and doing this... Can't recall the result though...

I don't see why not, as long as it fits in with the restrictions. I appreciate many people may want to use old platinum solos.

I make it 39:34 based on the fastest Gold and Platinum times there, leaving approximately 17 minutes per silver- you only need one gold solo for solo mastery if you've already completed a platinum. I agree 90 mins would be tall order in hindsight, but it always surprises me how much faster games are on PC.

That would be especially evil for xbox players, as we effectively have to pay for each new account.

I mostly put them all in to shake things up a bit, so that it didn't become a list of glacier cerberus solos with the GI/ TGI. Things can always be scaled back if thats the consensus.

In my ignorance I'm not really sure who Kate Upton actually is or what she does (unless all she does is pose for photos, I've picked up that much from BSN).

I actually like the rules for the same reason as yours - to avoid a huge list of glacier/GI/TGI etc.

 

Sub-90 is possible. I have 5 solos that total 87:xx but unfortunately, I glitched a hack in one of the solos. I will dig through my list to see if I can find another possible combination.

 

Unfortunately, I don't have a combination that can give sub-90. I should do them again, but no PC at the moment.
