I imagine my Travelyan visited his family along with Cassandra (LI in my game) before going back and using the Inquisition to help with rebuilding and close up the out of reach fade rifts (Banter between Leliana and Josephine indicates that there are more than the game allows you to take on). After that he disbands the Inquisition, or failing that gives the power to someone else, before leaving with Cassandra to either rebuild the seekers or do something else.
Granted this is all theoretical because I'm pretty sure the Inquisitor's gonna disappear into the aether by the next game, but a guy cab dream.
So what did your Inquisitor do after the end of the game?

Yeah it's somewhat based off my grandmother life since I named my quizzy after her. The three boys or my based off of my uncles names somewhat.

Either that or she sat around in a half-finished castle with no dialogue options for any of her followers waiting for the next crisis to emerge via DLC. You decide.

My Qunari Inquisitor had all the doors expanded so she wouldn't whomp her head on anything, and had all the shelves lowered so people would stop asking her to get things for them.
My Elven Inquisitor declared the first Friday of every month 'Forrest Frolic Friday' Sera was not amused. No trousers Tuesday was a raucous success. Cassandra has been asked to take up grooming, though.
My Mage Trevelyan is presently petitioning Ostwick to restore his titles and inheritance. According to Josephine he isn't allowed to use "I killed a f*cking god, just give it to me' in his request form.

First, Trevelyan slept. It was long overdue.
Then he tried to convince Cassandra that his little inquisitor penthouse was a better place to retire for the night than her place above the smithy, arguing that it had a great bed, a minibar, a wonderful view, no clanging noises from the smithy, and a door.

Well, she took Blackwall back inside to the bed and ... oh, you don't mean immediately after. Right.
The Inquisition's first order or business was to take a celebratory holiday. She dragged the entire inner circle and half her agents with her, Inquisition operations be damned.
While the Inquisitor had no interest in watching humans knock each other off horses with sticks, Blackwall and Varric both seemed keen, so they went to Markham to watch the jousting. The upside from the Inquisitor's point of view is that it was close enough to Ostwick for her family and friends from the Carta to come down and meet her. There was a lot of hugging and drinking and introductions all around. (Josephine fretted a bit about what would happen if word got out that the Inquisitor was still associating with criminals, but then she looked around at the people she was already working with and shrugged.) Later there was a small riot and a fire that burned several houses down, but the Inquisitor insisted that this was totally not her fault.
After that (headcanon-destroying DLC aside) I imagine that the core of the Inquisition began to break up. Leliana left to become the new Divine, Cassandra to rebuild the Seekers, Vivienne went back to court, and Sera returned to being Red Jenny somewhere else. Varric went home to Kirkwall with strict instructions to call if he ever needed anything. Dorian eventually headed back to Tevinter - with Iron Bull and the Chargers in tow, as the Inquisitor insisted that he'd need a whole company of the best bodyguards if he was really set on reform. (She gave Dorian and Bull hugs and whispered 'please look after your idiot boyfriend' to both of them as they went.)
Not everyone left. Cullen and Josephine remained, running the Inquisition as efficiently as ever. Cole was always around, although fewer and fewer people remembered his presence as he became more of a spirit and less of a human. Sometimes the Inquisitor wondered if she'd done the right thing there, but he seemed to be happy.
Blackwall left to undertake his joining. The Inquisitor made Stroud promise to send him back as soon as possible to become the official Grey Warden liaison to the Inquisition. Stroud raised an eyebrow as if he wanted to make a remark about exactly what sort of 'liaising' Blackwall might be doing, but he owed her one so he agreed. As Blackwall walked out the gate the Inquisitor wanted nothing more than to change her mind about her judgement, but she held onto the parapet and let him go.
The next day, she went out and got a dog. She'd seen enough unlikely good fortune lately to think that an investment in a shared future might not be completely insane.

Oh. Went hunting with Sera, and that's about as far as my headcanon goes.
Then, obviously, kept traveling and doing stuff - exploring and killing dragons is fun! And while at it, Arianne also set up camps and stuff. Pleasure AND business!

He finished all doable* quests... was missing 1... pff. Then farmed too many mobs to get a few research pieces to level up to 25 lol (was missing 316, and the stupid quest only provided 44...). Then he returned to Dorian. It'll be a lovely wait for him for expansion and dlc ![]()

And trying to figure out what the new normal is.
My dalish elf Solas loving quizzie is nursing her broken heart till Dorian and Bull take her away for a few weeks to heal.
Then it's the same thing. Rebuilding and business as usual.

after finishing the game with Anders (yes, THAT ANDERS) I imagine him filling Skyhold with kitties, having parties with graywardens where both him and sera go flirting with everygirl that attends there and ending the night having sex with Josephine. Hawke was crushed for good in the fade so (S)he got what (s)he desserved. About the warden maybe after finding the cure for the calling he returned with morrigan to keep raising his own son... or he lied and escaped with Merrill via Eluvian and now is feeling her belly with tons and tons of elven children (in this case he would be disappointed with Kieran being human... after all he was a brute rogue). Varric wrote the book as Anders requested, but the title was called "Varric's unfair mistake with the real Anders" instead of the crappy tittle he thought (also I have no idea how did varric became friends with this Anders, he was a total jerkass towards him... but unlike his sister Varric didn't hate him)
Going to see her little sister's outcome soon, since the universe she became inquisitor involved both wardens ruling Ferelden you can guess that Anders was never framed except in Varric tales... specially since you can't be in the glorious Denerim's castle as court graywarden mage and the craphole that are free marches at the same time.

She started a new game from scratch. She had to side with the mages this time and romance Sera.

The first thing she did was put out an APB for Solas as well as Abelas. More accurately, an ATL, as she doesn't think either of them are dangerous. (The irony, right?)
Currently she's reading every elven history book she can find and planning an expedition to study Solas' supposed birth town.

Teresa Hawke is married too Anders and is expecting their first child a daughter named Cera, and my Inqustior pardoning him before she disband the inquisition to live her live with Cullen. Eloise moves on and has three boys with Cullen and is married to eachother thanks to Leilana as the Divine she striped a bunch of the old laws to reform the Chantry. And sometimes has too cut down some by being ruthless.
