On a more serious answer ...

Dalish Rogue Archer Tabatha disbanded the Inquisition after Lilianna was named the Divine. She then returned to the woods outside of Wycome where she spent the next 3 years planting a tree for each member of her clan that died.

Tal-Vashoth Rogue Clover would have stayed on the throne of her newfound kingdom but The Iron Bull convinced her there were more battles to be fought elsewhere. Many years later, their children still run "the family business."

Human Mage Gabriella had a different story. As the old adage says, "power corrupts" and she had a world of power at her command. She had a throne with tens of thousands of worshippers. How hard would it be to convince them that she was Andraste reborn? At least she felt that way for a while. It all seemed so important to her back then. Her life now is so much more ... tranquil.

Let's see...after DA:I ends...my Lavellan didn't leave her room for days. She finally did, mostly to aimlessly wander Skyhold, avoiding talking to most everyone. Rumors are starting that she's lost her mind.

 

Occasionally she'll contemplate going out to look for mosaic pieces or bottles, but she never gets past trying to decide who to bring with her, before she breaks down in tears.

 

Sometimes Dorian will go so far as to drag her to the tavern and get her drunk, but it's awkward for everyone.

I imagine that my inquisitor went around doing her inquisitor duties, playing Wicked Grace with Varric, and moping/brooding over Solas leaving her and plotting ways to hunt him down because she still wants answers.

My Inquisitor and Cass went and had more sex.

Wanders the wilderness looking for resources and things.  Poking around ruins.  Totally not looking for anything else.  Nope.

 

When she's at Skyhold, she spends many evenings alone in her chambers.  Working on important Inquisition stuff.  She is not spending all her time with the curtains of her four poster bed closed like a tent, while she lies inside, secretly crying her eyes out.

 

Everything is peachy.

 

Aside from that, I imagine she's been up to Wycome to visit her clan and see how they're getting on.

My Lavellan glared angrily out into the horizon, ate too much cake, drank too much wine, and passed out. Then she woke up, and started hitting the books. She has a lot of questions, and she doesn't expect to be handed the answers.

Lucas Trevelyan got incredibly drunk, woke up the next morning to discover that he still effectively ruled all of Thedas, and decided it was going to be a very good day.

 

Also he had Otranto over for pancakes, because Otranto was a bro. No hard feelings. Laughs were had by all. Then the Hero of Ferelden stopped in, apologized again for being absent during the Corypheus Crisis, and volunteered to take the empty spot on the Inner Circle squad for a while to repay Trevelyan for all he'd done to help the Warden's family. 

 

The powers-that-be in Thedas all collectively shook in their boots following that development.

My own personal headcanon before any DLCs come out. They seem fitting to me.

Cullen stayed with the Inquisition even after Adaar decided to disband it in the official sense. He remained behind with the agents who were selected to keep the Inquisition alive, ensuring that should they be needed in the future, the Inquisition would have a foundation to build upon. His name would be highly respected amongst soldiers and Templars even after his death.

 

Josephine returned to the courts as ambassador, but retained close ties to the Inquisition, ensuring that it was not forgotten and that it's name would be well respected, even ages into the future. She eventually married her betrothed according to her family's wishes, and took over the operations of the Montilyet family. Her family soon regained all the land and wealth it had lost over the previous century, and she would eventually retire in her old age, happy and at peace with her life.

 

Cassandra went on to become the next Divine, and led the Chantry into a golden age of peace and progression, allowing the mages to prove that they were worthy of being free, and restoring the Templars and the Seekers to their former honor and glory. In the future, the mages, Seekers and Templars would work together in unison that was before unseen.

 

Leliana returned to her former duties as the Left Hand of the Divine, ensuring that Cassandra's reign as Divine Victoria ran as smoothly as possible. She was both feared and admired by all who knew her, though little is known of her actual actives. This is, perhaps, for the best, as she always did like to remain anonymous.

 

Varric Tethras stayed behind with the Inquisitor for a while longer, claiming to be getting notes for his next story. He eventually left to find Hawke and Fenris, but made Adaar promise solemnly to write him if she ever needed anything, and to also keep in touch as often as possible. Not much is known of him after that, but stories of heroes continued to appear throughout Thedas. It is believed he eventually returned to Kirkwall, where it is said he lived the rest of his life.

 

Vivienne returned to court, eventually regaining her former position of power. She would later marry a powerful Orlesian nobleman, although rumors of her carrying on an affair with a Templar were whispered about the court. It did not stop her from taking full advantage of the court, however, and she continued to live as Madame de Fer, admired by all for both her intelligence and amazing sense of style. She often sent the Inquisitor expensive fabrics from which clothing appropriate to wear in public appearance was made, with the help of a highly skilled tailor she knew.

 

Sera eventually left, and nothing more was heard from her though she parted from the Inquisitor on good terms. But stability was never in her nature, and Adaar wasn't too worried by the lack of news. As long as Red Jenny was active somewhere, she knew Sera was still abroad helping however she could.

 

Dorian eventually returned to Tevinter and brought about one of the largest reforms the nation had ever seen. Though he was ultimately successful in the end, he did not live to see the changes come about.  He was killed by another magister, which arguably gave Dorian's movement the life it needed to finish what he started. Dorian's mother and father took their son's place in the movement he began, finishing what he was not able to. It is said that the Inquisitor cried for hours upon reading the letter which told of his death.

 

Thom Rainier, sometime known as Warden Blackwall, eventually undertook the Joining, becoming a full Warden as he had claimed he was for so many years. Although his contact with the Inquisitor was sparse and infrequent, he said that he was vastly contented, and felt he had made the truth of a lie. The letters stopped coming several years after his Joining. Whether he died or simply was unable to send more is unknown.

 

Cole popped in and out of the Inquisitor's life for as long as she lived. His new human life allowed him to interact with people in a way that he never had been able to before, and he seemed filled with joy and peace at all times. He often called Adaar his dearest friend, and told her that he would be there when it came time for her to cross the Fade. He also told her not to worry about him, because he was helping, as he always wanted to.

 

Nothing was ever heard of Solas again, although it was said that neither Adaar nor any of her loved ones ever had a run-in with wolves for as long as they lived.

 

Herah Adaar decided to leave the Inquisition several years after the defeat of Corypheus. While she didn't want the Inquisition to disappear entirely, she felt that it was no longer needed its current form. After stepping down from her post, she returned to her parent's home in the Free Marches, where she founded and led a small community of peaceful Tal-Vashoth and outcasts of other societies, who called themselves The Kith. Her close friends said that she also made this decision due to a personal development... several months after stepping down as Inquisitor, Adaar gave birth to a healthy son, whom she and the Iron Bull named Asaaranda, "Thunderstorm". Some time after that, she gave birth to another son, whom they named Athlok, "the Earth". Asaaranda became a mage, and was trained by his mother. He would go on to be a scholar of ancient religions, and would eventually found his own school. Athlok became leader of the Kith after his mother, and was known for his wisdom and great kindness towards all.

 

Iron Bull's story continues with Herah Adaar's, as the two were seldom separated. After she left the Inquisition, he and his Chargers went with her to the Free Marches, where they worked as guards for a local lord until his first son was born. He and the Chargers would remain mercenaries, but worked almost exclusively in the Free Marches so he could remain close to his family. He eventually retired and gave his group to Krem when an injury to the leg prevented him from fighting as aggressively as his occupation required. He became a combat trainer for those who showed the talent for it, and lived a long and happy life with his Kadan until the end of their days.

 

It's long, but I like it. Wraps everything up nicely for me.

I imagine my Dalish had a nervous breakdown to be honest...

His clan died , every elf he met in the outside world was sort of a bittersweet experience (basically everyone told him the Dalish sucks), he solves many issue he didn't give a crap about ...

Then his boyfriend more or less told him he was going to leave to go back to his people and make things right (Dorian).

 

So I think he just call for a secret Inquisition councel and gave power to Leli , Cass , Cullen and Josi and just left ...

Just going to spend a bit of time chilling in the woods and figure out what he wants to do .

I think he would try to track Solas , he wouldn't feel like going back to the Dalish (he learned too much stuff about the elves , their gods and history , he's not a liar and he doesn't feel like saying "hey guys all those things we thought we knew , we got it all wroooong!")

Probably not going to find Solas or just give up and going to go to Tevinter and knock on Dorian's door .

 

Of course all headcanon and for some mysterious reason he probably stayed and kept on bringing order to Shemlen lands...

Trevelyan told Dorian to stop being a peacock about the spotlight and then went back to the Imperium with him. He then proceeds to turn a lot of threatening Tevinters into human quivers while Dorian kicks the country's butt back into the light.

He pretty much implies that he's going back eventually​ whether you're his friend or lover and whether you encourage him to stay or go. It just depends on how long he plans on putting it off.

I was best friends with Dorian and he told me I inspired him to go back to Tevinter and change things, but that he'd stick around for a bit because The Inquisition was kickass, and also because of Iron Bull.

 

Oh that's pretty cool. It must depend on previous conversations, though I'm fairly sure my character encouraged him to be an example for Tevinter, blah, blah. Well, now I'm curious...

With my Cullen romance I would imagine that they would enjoy some time together after the big battle and take it easy for a little bit. Hopefully having lots of "adult time" together.

 

With my Solas romance I imagine my elf to be totally devastated. But she's serious so would probably throw herself more into the Inquisition work and just keep plugging away at being awesome. Hopefully some demon kicks Solas in the nuts in the meantime between now and the next DLC when in my mind a happy ending will come.

Kept the Inquisition going acting as a mediator when possible, peacekeeper when not. Kept an eye on Vivienne because he didn't trust her a bit. Tried to intervene in her excesses when possible, although it often wasn't. Encouraged Cassandra to reform the seekers in a way that was better than what they were, even though that meant they spent more time apart than they would have preferred, and prepare them to take over the inquisition's role in the future.. Continued to acquire power and influence, knowing that for the inquisition to function as he wished, it would have to be welcome in as many countries as possible.
