I gave him the armor i was wearing to test if its the equip (although he's usuallly my best equipped npc, because of constantly dying)
no berserk
And when this screenshot was taken, i was at skyhold.

I just love that huge epic armor has horrible stats. This needs to be some joke armor in a later game.
What are his stats with some random drop armor, does it also go down?

Maybe he got stuck in that one move he has in his reaver skill tree (I'm so helpful...).

Wow! What is that armor? I know, I'm not being helpful here, I'm just completely surprised there is such a good looking armor for a qunari along with an actual helmet!

Just another bug in a very long list of bugs.
Turns out he was better off half naked. Go figure.

Can you take a look at what weapon he's wielding? Does it have a 300% damage from all sources on it?

Yep, some weapons have "30% more damage to enemies, 300% damage from all sources" on them, which kills your resistances.

The helmet is Iron Bull only, you get it from one of his companion quests iirc.

excalipoor issue
Indeed. Good analogy. ![]()
For those that haven't played too many FF games for their own good (like I have,) Excalipoor is a weapon that appears in most Final Fantasy games. The tooltip for it usually reads something along the lines of "The legendary holy sword...?" While it gives you high to near max attack power, it only ever does 1 damage. The Blessed Sword of Utter Suck, if you will.

It started off as a part of a Villain/Antagonist Hero comic-relief NPC (and occasional boss) that's been reoccurring off and on since FFV. The joke is that he thinks it's the "holy sword of legend," so he uses it to attack the player. To little effect, obviously. He usually says something to the effect of "Oh crap, I thought it was the real sword." When you defeat him/run him off, it drops as a reward after combat in most of the games where he makes an appearance.
Ah Gilgamesh. Stay weird my friend.
Otherwise, most of incarnations of the blade can be thrown by party members (that have that skill) for max damage. That's usually it.
