Last Flight does a good job showing the horribleness of the 4th Blight. Also, Garahel's awesome.

It's a pretty good read. The 4th Blight parts are far more interesting than the present day ones imo. The book goes above and beyond to show that grey wardens really mean business when they say victory by whatever means possible

Cool. I didn't realize that it was set that far back. I'm at home sick, so this may be a welcome diversion.

It's a decent read, but then I have enjoyed all 5 of the novels.

I just finished Asunder, which I generally enjoyed and wanted to get opinions on this offering.
Tbh I actually hated it, ignoring the numerous lore inconsistancies I actually felt it didn't even compare to Asunder or TME. Whole thing felt like a fanfic
Imo TME is the best DA novel thus far followed by Asunder

The lore inconsistencies bothered me, and I didn't find most of the characters as engaging as some the other novels.
I agree however, that Garahel is pretty boss. A pity there isn't more of him.
TME is my favorite DA novel to an extreme, but last flight gave me new appreciation for the Grey Wardens. It managed to show some of both the biggest pros and biggest cons of the order, some of which are rather wrapped up within each other. It left some people more determined that we need them, and some people more dedicated to distrusting them, than ever.
That's the thing. You have to be pretty interested in the Wardens to really like it, imo.
