I was gonna post this in the Inquisition sub thread but I haven't finished it yet and won't risk spoilers, DAO just felt more appropriate than DA2 for this. Now if you don't know Arlathan is the ancient Elven empire that ruled Thedas before the Tevinter Imperuim (and before humans even came to Thedas), from what little we've been shown in the games so far it seems that they had unrivaled magical abilities and even technology, the Elves even achieved immortality through magic.

On any Thedas map if you look to the east of the Tevinter Imperium you'll see Arlathan Forest, it's quite possible this is touched upon in DAI but I won't ask for info on that. Do you guys think that's where the city of Arlathan once was? Could it be possible that some if not all the Eluvian can be worked in a way that it can take you there?

Only open if you've played DAI and know stuff about Solas: (I'll probably delete this if no one reads it and open a separate thread on the DAI subforum.)

Well, it was addressed in DA:I. Talk with Solas more and he'll tell you about it

Spoiler

Quoting wiki:

Elvhenan, meaning "place of our people" in the elven language, was the civilization of the elves, or elvhen, in the time when elves were reportedly still immortal and the dominant race on the surface of Thedas. Elvhenan covered most of Thedas; particularly Ferelden, Orlais, and lands west of Orlais. Elvhenan's political, economic and cultural centre was the great city of Arlathan, or ar lath’an, meaning "this place I love". Arlathan was located in a great forest in the north of Thedas, not far from where the Tevinter Imperium first emerged.
