We don't need another SWTOR.
Please, BioWare, don't make DA4 an MMO

*recalls the nightmare that was SWTOR*
...I would quite literally die if they even thought to do something along the MMO lines.
*shivers at the thought*

Given the section it's in, I'm guessing a few characters and the story hinted at it being an MMO next game.

The whole game feels like the lead-up to an MMO, in my opinion. ![]()

In what way?
The gameplay? A bit MMO...

The entire story felt rushed and unfinished, as if their main focus was the wandering around the world bits.

Considering that has nothing to do with MMOs, and the other DA games had much less than stellar stories, well DA 2 did have a more focused one, I really don't see your point.

I'm very calm, actually.
I'm simply casting my vote and letting my voice be heard, lest anyone from BioWare come by this thread in their planning stages for their next game.

After the disaster that is SWTOR I doubt they'll want to launch another MMO anytime soon.

Personally, I like SWTOR. I just stopped playing after I finished the class storylines because they got boring.
Anyway, I heard somewhere that DA:I was originally supposed to be an MMO, a thought which horrified me greatly. I sincerely hope that BioWare isn't planning on making the next one an MMO either, although I doubt they will due to how big the outcry was when they hinted at the possibility of the DA world turning into an MMO series.
I personally hope that the DA series goes on like the Elder Scrolls do. It's too beautiful a universe to just leave after a few games.
Just my own two cents anyway.

I would like a DA mmo, with a few conditions.
1. Equal treatment. Gay companions/romance available from start not the offensive blunder that is SWTOR. And gay npc here and there... (which wouldn't hurt in DAI either... but oh well, the game does enough good things that I can overlook a detail or two)
2. Real graphics, not the silly nonsense that seems to be all the sh*t right now (swtor, wildstar, minecraft... etc). I know WoW is still the most played ever, but really... 2015 soon... use the freakin' technology available lol...
3. This is optional. I would prefer the GW2 approach. Buy once - play forever. With cash shop having mostly shiny or small utility stuff, nothing that would unbalance the game. I'm all for supporting Bioware (mostly because gay representasion is still vital and sadly still almost 99% absent in any other company world wide), but sinking hundreds of dollars in 1 game? Ugh... not sure about that...

They won't. They tried to launch a much more successful property and had problems with that. DAI is probably selling well (I don't know the numbers) but I doubt they'd pour that much money into an MMO unless it magically starts selling at Skyrim levels.
I believe that eventually they will get to that point should they continue to make quality DA games. Half the reason Skyrim sold so well was because it belongs to a legacy game series. Dragon Age could achieve that, provided that BioWare doesn't screw it up too much.

Signed. MMOs tend to end the game series (because it's hard to support both an MMO AND indepentent games), and some of us hate MMOs because it tends to decrease the quality of the story WC2 &3 > WoW KotOR > SWTOR, haven't tried ESO, though.

Actually, it should be a MMO. And if you play a mage, you should stay locked up in the Circle.
Your day to day activities would be dusting, doing the dishes, read a book and other boring stuff.

I believe that Skyrim's total sale numbers has a lot to do with modding, as does DAO. If modders succeed at what they are trying to accomplish with DAI, and I believe that they will, we will see a similar thing happen.

Why would it be an MMO?
Because MMOS make investors a crap ton of money, even the rubbish ones that fall apart after a month or two and are a complete waste of harddisk space to even install.
Because investors don't care if a game is crap as long as they're raking it in.
Because despite every bad wow clone dying a horrible death, investors and developers alike remain irrationally, inexplicably, insanely optimistic that THEIR particular bad wow clone will be great.
