So, reading the codex entries for Gaspard and Florianne, they are much older than portrayed in the game. Some people speak of how Gaspard was raised to be emperor, but it felt like he would be 10 years older, or no older than 15. According to the codexes he is infact 30 years older, making him starting the revolution at the fine age of 66, with no children as possible heirs should be become emperor. Florianne is also supposed to be 55 years old at the start of the game.

 

Maybe it is just how Orlesians behave  , but I always felt they were so much younger in the game. It seems very weird for a young (albeit powerful) inquisitor to put these old and shrewd politicians in their place. Some outburst about my inquisitor being a young brat would had been appropriate. 

 

(Also, Florianne dances and fights impeccably well for her age, must have some magical replacement in those hips)

Florianne I could see as 55; her complexion certainly looked "older." Gaspard I'd put in his 40's ... max, but having never seen him without his max, it's hard to nail it down. I didn't "see" 65, though.

Meanwhile, Empress Celene is only 37 and has more wrinkles than an army of pugs.

I had guessed him to be in his early-mid 50s.  But still really fit.

Gaspard is clearly meant to be older than Celene, whos is supposed to be 40ish.  But yeah he can't be that much older if he's supposed to still be this bad@$$ chevalier

Celene is also the ruler of a entire empire which would be stressful in it self just look at the picture of any modern US president before and after he became president and after then take into the account the game and a civil war.

Keep in mind Real Life William Marshal the greatest knight in history and Marshal of England was still leading armies at the front at 70 and lead the charge at the second battle of Lincoln to the point his own troops had trouble keeping up with him.
