Ok, soo basically I'm torn on whether or not I should go for pure %Attack or try to build for crit/crit dmg.

I did crit, just because flow of battle, shield breaker and crippling blows all benefit directly from you criting. As a two hander you have access to a lot of offensive leather slots in high tier weapons which is how you boost your crit chance absurdly. ( My late game reaver's Ornate Battleaxe has +47% crit chance). 

 

You can get 1.7 times more critical damage than you can for the same slot in attack. 10.5 vs 18. Not only that, but it's much easier to boost dexterity (crit damage) on medium equipment than strength (Attack) on heavy equipment. Remember that you can equip snowfleur in the primary slot to make medium equipment usuable by your reaver. 

 

Early game go attack  though, as it's really hard get reliable crit equipment.
