Im trying to reinstall my copy of Mass Effect for the PC and it makes it about 2/3 done and says it couldnt write saferun.exe and .dll. Ive tried checking the forums for an answer on how to fix this and nobody seems to have a definitive answer. One person on another site said it had to do with corrupted registry keys. Can anyone tell me how to fix this?

have you tried to manually copy those 2 files to your hd, just to see if your cd can read them?

What does one do to solve this issue if Mass Effect was downloaded via EADM?

I'm having the same problem as F0G1V3N. I downloaded the game through EADM and it won't install. Same error a TC. I cannot find where any of the install files are located either. I think the problem may have to do with administrative privileges, but if I can't find the files, I can't do anything about that.

If you downloaded the game from EA, the files are located in C:\\Documents and Settings\\All Users\\Application Data\\EA Core\\cache\\EADM... i have the same problem with the saferun.exe error. I have tried copying the files to another location, and downloading again. Nothing worked. I have tried to contact EA Support and no reply. Any chance I can get my money back?

ME-1 has its own separate Tech Discussions Forum, and has had that for a month now.
