My general strategy
Inquisitor reaver and Cass rush in bull charge Viv/Dorian spam barrier and Varric/Sera long shots....Warriors war cry....Inquisitior ring of pain...Dragon Rage until 50% health....bull charge followed devour and whirlwind...thanks to life stealing equipment by that point Inquisitor is at full health and Cass is maybe down to 50% defense
Meanwhile Viv or Dorian are laying the magical artillery and Varric or Sera are picking off the stragglers.
If all Else fails, tier 3 rampage followed by ring of pain and Dragon Rage....
plese help, stuck with 0 health

In difficult fights where I didn't want to go back to camp I just ran away a little bit then came back and hit targets more strategically. I don't know of a fight where you can't do this even with low numbers of potions and on higher difficulty (aside from dragons - you just got to completely run away from those suckers if you aren't fully prepped!)
