So I am currently in a loop of the key never dropping. On the forth cycle of the host quitting and rejoining now on Tevinter ruins vs Red Templars.
The key to the next zone frequently does not drop post DLC

Seems like this only happens when there is animals in the zone. If you kill the animal last, the key wont drop.

You sure there isn't a stalker or other cloaked unit wandering around outside aggro range? I have had to run back through an area to find enemies in stealth before.

on xbox 360, I am 2 for 2 for no key at the wave2 door in elven ruins. cats spawned with red Templars both times.

Tis good that it can be reproduced reliablely. Hopefully, Bioware could get a hotfix out quickly.

The same just happened to me on the Orlisean Chateau, level 1. Dogs spawned, and they were not the last things we killed.

First game since the DLC: very first wave, no key, forced to quit. Enemy was red Templars I think, but I know there were a lot of hyenas around. Ran through the whole area looking for a mob missed, but none of us could find one, bugged with no HP or otherwise.

Hi Andy,
My group tested this fairly extensively tonight and were able to replicate the issue vs Red Templars and Demons (Venatori didn't roll unfortunately) on Tevinter Ruins and Orlesian Chateau.

try 3 was good. red Templars in tevinter ruins... waves 1 - 4 were all new sections, got all keys.
minimal animals, I think I saw only 1 in wave 1. looked like a dragonling spawned out of the corpse of a red Templar I just killed, but probably ran up to us when I was looking around for new targets while the attack animation finished the guy off.

The animal bug must depend on the wildlife in question.
I did a Tevinter Ruins run against Red Templars on Routine, getting the new zone layouts. I had a few zones where Wildlife were killed last in 2 out of the first 4 zones. One of them was a Giant, and I believe one was a Mabari (although I am not 100% sure what it was, it just was not a Red Templar).
I got all the relevant keys needed to get to Zone 5 with no issues, but I did have a Threatening game earlier against Red Templars where a Deepstalker got bugged and was dead, but his model revived itself with no healthbar, just standing around and being targettable by AOE spells, yet unable to be killed, even by 5000 damage crits from abilities such as Full Draw. Since he could not "die" permanently, the key never dropped, even if he was not technically listed as "alive" by the game.

Really it sounds so bad, could you not abort it, so at least some segments of your player base isn't effected.

Happened to me yesterday (after installing DLC..second game - first one crashed to desktop
) and I think that it was 4th wave, Orlesia Chateau, Red Templars. It's possible, that last one killed was animal, but I'm not 100% sure.
