Well they're better than Ubisoft's QA team
But really these things slip out, so i feel sorry for them. Sure hindsight is great, but there's always "reasons", which is often not down to the individual developer or tester's competence, care or motivation.

And this is why you push content to PC first, well before you send it to Console cert. Cause if this had been released to PC last week before it went through Console cert, this bug would have become obvious, a hotfix could have been rolled and then bundled into the build for consoles BEFORE it even hit those devices. Thus saving everyone time and aggravation.
It's also why will continue to bluntly say there needs to be a "beta" program open on PC, to test updates and content expansions before they go various Certs. We (the community) want this game to be better, but you don't respect us enough to let us help you find whats broken before you lock yourselves in for a week to month waiting for cost/benefit equation to balance on submitting a new patch to 3rd party cert.

Nah, it just means that in actuality, the conditions are more complex than "The key will not drop if the party kill an animal after every mob from the warring faction is dead".

Played all evening yesterday, and we didn´t see any occurrence of this bug either.

I m PC player, obviously doesnt have the DLC but let me express my condolence for U. They key system usually works fine, there are some strange glitches, for example, if red templar transform info the monster, it count as killed, then if u kill the monster u have one more kill so the key will drop even when one monster remain in the map....so i bassicaly think its about kills count. Solution for this would be to gave ppls some tolerance for kills AND options to BREAK the door after 1-2 minutes channeling (like grabing hairloom/scrools).

What was tested before release? I don't think the QA Dept tested anything on ANY of the systems.

I'm actually fine with the buggy DLC. Don't get me wrong, my first run did not have the key drop on wave 4 but now I have a legitimate reason to stop playing DAMP. Thankfully another game just got a large update on the PS4 so now I can devote my time to it instead. My groups that normally runs DAMP completely agrees with me and in this case the buggy DLC was the final reason we needed to stop playing. I still have to finish the single player so I will keep the game but DAMP is not worth my time at this point until Bioware starts taking it seriously (and communicates their intentions with the community).

Now I've done about 7 DLC runs, 4 out of 7 key bug, 3-4 out of 7 disconnect while loading scoreboard after completion, and I recall only 1 out of 7 being completed. Thanks for the bears and bugs bioware.

Well this is just terribad. I haven't even downloaded the update yet. Think I'll pass till its fixed.If the last enemy to be killed in any given zone is an animal, they key to the next area WILL NOT DROP. In a zone with animals present, the last enemy to be killed must be from the enemy faction. Making this video to bring this to Biowares attention. This bug has been tested and replicated several times in different circumstances with the same results.

They appear to have fixed this stealthily somehow.
I had several occurrences of this bug yesterday, but today, when an animal was the last kill (happened several times on threatening), the key reliably dropped.
I did not notice an update being installed.
Or maybe there are some other preconditions we don't know yet.
Edit: I just had the bug, but the last enemy killed was not an animal.
So I take it back, still bugged. Just in a different way than I thought.

my first two games around 6p et yesterday both resulted in the missing key bug with animals in the zone. took a short break and then played another 8ish games with no issues at all.
don't know if it was stealth fixed somehow or got lucky, but definitely (as pointed out above) some of the waves had only animals as the final group and keys still dropped)
this was on xbox 360

i just did a few runs on routine and I can confirm that routine doesn't seem to be bugged, but threatening and perilous have this door bug.
They still haven't fixed shadow bug either. Sometimes shadow enemies bug out in perilous and you can't open the door. That bug existed before this update as well.
Buggy as hell game.

Beerfish, they did this just like ME3 MP releases. It is completely optional so it will not install automatically. You have to go to the Xbox store and download it manually.

Of the all the sessions last night this bug did not happen. I did see a bear in Orlesian Chateau though. Since I have only 12hrs into SP I haven't fought a bear yet so it was a cool surprise. ![]()

heh, I was pleasantly surprised by a bear as well on a mission. reaver face-rolling through a pack of venatori and a bear rampages in and takes 3x 1k dragon rages and is still standing. I was mentally stunned for a few seconds, nothing non-boss lives that usually. so the bear proceeds to show me its bear rage and makes me eat a potion.
