[17/12/2014 EDIT] Today I have attempted overall around 50 games, 3-4 games have been successful with only minor bugs/glitches. 

 

Let that sink in. Around 46 games were UNPLAYABLE. That is a 8% success rate. Even then, the 4 successful games were still riddled with minor bugs and glitches. 

 

 

I hate to be that guy, but... The volume of bugs I'm now experiencing is beyond a joke. I've attempted to join around 10 games after the add-on, I've managed to play 2. 

 

I've experienced:

  • The key never dropping at the end of a floor
  • Joining a game only to find I can't move [Multiple times now] 
  • Joining a game to find the map hasn't loaded and I'm in some weird sand-box area
  • Multiple Connection issues and getting kicked after Host migrations [from lobbies I hadn't even successfully joined yet!]
  • [EDIT] We can add random crashes here too, since I've experienced it 3 times in a row on the new maps today. 

[EDIT] Multiple people saying they've experienced these bugs pre- addon. So did I. But I've never had them with such frequency as yesterday/today, it became much rarer last week. 

 

That isn't to even mention the player base drastically dropping because no-one seems to know the add-on even exists and it isn't a compulsory download. 

 

The bugs seemed to be getting rarer for me since last week, but by God they're back in full force now. Bioware, can you please fix your game? This isn't funny anymore. This is actually worse than a few weeks after launch before your second patch. It's actually quite impressive, considering there's only 3 maps and most of the enemies are cut-paste versions of each other. UGH. I just want to play the game for a day without some weird bugs.

This is what happens when you have more than 1 monkey working on patches.

 

- Bugs fixed with version 1.1

 

- Code Monkey A, still working with version 1.0, adds Feature X, dubbs it version 1.2 and patches, breaking fixes of version 1.1.

 

- Hotfix to version 1.2a with fixes from version 1.1 pasted in.

 

- Code Monkey B, still working with version 1.0, adds Feature Y, pastes in Feature X, dubbs it version 1.3 and patches, breaking fixes of version 1.1.

 

- Hotfix to version 1.3a with fixes from version 1.1 pasted in.

 

- (Optional):  Hotfix to version 1.3b to fix compatibility issues between Feature X and Feature Y.

 

- Upgrade to version 1.4, based on any of the above versions, breaking everything from every other version.

 

- Hotfix to version 1.4a to paste in everything from every other version

 

Typical dev cycle, get used to it.  So don't complain when you find out all your multiplayer patches have been assigned to just one monkey.

Penguinfetish already posted about the key not dropping. It happens if you kill an animal and not a member of the enemy faction last

If that was the only problem I'd be happy by comparison. :/

All of these happened to me multiple times yesterday before dlc except for the first one.

I have had the bottom 3 of your list OP happen to me before the DLC.

yesterday was the first time I stopped playing solely because the crashes made me to.

5 matches - 3 times the game screwed me.

2 times of it in wave 5...

I have had the bottom 3 of your list OP happen to me before the DLC.  

 

Nothing new here.

I have, but it was much rarer before yesterday.

It does seem to be even more unstable now.

I've just been trying to play for an hour. So far i've had 6 crash to desktop. 3 infinite loading screens and 1 infinite joining session.

Fortunately no key bug but there's only so much **** one man can take, BiowarEA.

I feel your pain. 

I feel like we should run a competition to see who can get the most bugs in one day. 

 

  • I've had 4-5 Crash to desktops [with a very high-end custom made pc no less,]
  • 2 games so laggy that the team was literally rubber banding across the map,
  • 4 games wherein I tried to join the lobby and was told the host migrated, only to get kicked out of the lobby that I never successfully joined because I couldn't connect to the host, 
  • Several no key glitches [this literally just happened to me, we killed a normal warrior last and it still didn't drop in a new map,]
  • In the map the chests don't load in the new treasure rooms [this has happened 3x] [and if the host migrates, the chests don't render across the floor,] 
  • 2x Infinite loading screens 

 

Overall the amount of successful games I've managed to get from round 1 to 5 in without it bugging out is a solid 2 out of perhaps 25+ attempts today. 

 

It honestly baffles me that there's this many bugs when there's only 3 maps and around 25 uniquely coded enemies that were mostly pulled from SP. It also baffles me that it's actually getting WORSE not better.

Add-on or not, these are issues that have been since launch :)

That I have been experiencing significantly more frequent recently. You also make it sound as if its somehow acceptable that none of these have been fixed since launch too.

I just ran a pug match for abput 2 hours on perilous and we didnt have any real issues, some lag and connection issues but hardly any game breaking bugs. That isn't to say I havent experienced them but I hardly think it is as bad as everyone is making it out to be.

Before this most recent expansion I had the odd disconnect, but now I frequently get host drops (had a host disconnection after we'd completed a match and didn't get XP), movement glitches (unable to move, moving in small increments, random lateral bouncing while moving forward), and no key drop after all enemies killed.  By frequently I mean 1 in 4 matches will have one of the above mentioned problems.

 

I experienced one graphical glitch where running through a door at the end of a zone led us to an outdoor, horizonless, filled with random pitfalls off the map area.  That one was actually sort of fun, but probably should be corrected.

i'd imagine you'd be pretty pissed if your game crashed right at the end of that 2 hour game

Meh, the crashes are not really expansion related, direct X is having major issues with this game and I assume there are memory leaks all over the place. And who cares if it crashes? You still keep gold and items, EXP is easy to come by.

Yes, that part of it can be frustrating but if you look at it "Glass half full" it just means you get to load up a new match and kill more monsters! Who knows, maybe you'll find a "good" purple in a chest this time?

I'm normally the first to say that I rarely encounter issues in the multiplayer, but I seem to be experiencing more problems post dlc as well. A noticeable rise in the number of joined games with no skills on my hotbar, crashes to desktop, missing keys (both animal and stalker related), and post match lost connection to server - which still results in gold and exp being received although delayed. So that's more of just a time waster.

I've literally counted 2 completed games out of 25 full attempts today - as in 2 games that actually worked as intended without bugging in a game-breaking way. It was no better yesterday, either. If you literally had to spend hours to play a single game successfully, you might get abit grumpy too. Count yourself excessively fortunate. I can't get exp on my characters [because the amount of time we can actually finish the game w/o bugs is shocking] nor can I complete challenges [as penguin has experienced.]

That last glitch reminds me of a glitch you could get in an old multi-player game called Lord of the Rings Conquest. It's always fun to randomly explore below/above maps, but the novelty does wear off after a little while. As for the rest of your post, we can at least take solace in the fact that we aren't the only ones facing these problems - so it isn't our fault or our computers.

Exp is not easy to come by when you can't end a game without a bug. You only get xp if your team wipes or you finish the floor, both of which have become surprisingly rare atm.

Be grateful your even getting to the post-match stage. :P I wish all the xp I've lost to these bugs would be given back simply delayed, sadly that won't happen. Still must be annoying though.

I believe it is, but I'm not 100%. I don't think it's a forced content update for any system, so you may well need to check the DLC/Add-on section of the game to find it. I would give it a miss atm, until they fix the sheer volume of issues the add-on has either caused or exacerbated.
