Nice try, but women tend to overlook physical appearance in favor of personality much more than men do. Just look at Mass Effect, how many people do you think actually considered Garrus and Thane hot?

I have a wee bit of confidence that people would gladly romance Loghain if they could. I don't think Howe would even allow romance. He'd no doubt be into some freaky sh**. After all, the guy did put his bedroom next to the torture chamber.

Agreed. There is also the fact that one of them in the OP is a raging arsehole and the other needs the EU to explain why he isn't just being a raging arsehole. It makes this whole thing into a stupid strawman argument. The overwhelming majority of the women that I have seen complaining about the romance options aren't complaining that the male (or female for the bisexual/lesbian ladies) LIs are ugly. It's for story reasons.
