The point is that we will bang ANYONE, if given the option, unlike these heterosexual men, who are apparently really fussy about such things. Shrug.

If irony was an asteroid the earth would be just like Mars.

Ten times better than Nivea for men anti-aging cream.

look what it did for captain America.

I thought it was enlightening. :P

I meant the OP rather than the responses which have certainly been a learning experience.  Who knew Loghain had so many fans?

Is it tho? Is it?

I think we proved that point. Though I personally found Thane very attractive. I'm weird though. Don't mind me.

Yep. I love 'em straight male tears. Very salty. Perfect for an omelet. Also I have that effect on people. It is because I'm blindingly awesome.

Ugh speak for yourself!  I wouldn't touch Loghain with a ten foot pole. Not only does his personality grate, he's been smacked repeatedly with the entire ugly forest.

Well, considering the VA and all, it's just about antici....PATION for Howe.

I'm teasing, I promise, but I could not resist the joke.  Or should I say, I didn't choose to resist.

I don't think I've seen a thread hijacking this funny since pre-release.  Over the summer and early fall there used to be a couple of huge threads in the story section dedicated to romances.  These romance threads were about hanging out with each other as fans to talk about the games as they were about romance content itself.  Anyway, after the release date had been pushed back, there was a lot of frustration and uncertainty about the romances.   The bickering was lower key than it is now, but somehow more constant between fans.

Some of us went a little nuts, and that became the night of the Fishquisition.   About 6 hours that night was all about fish puns, fish jokes, and comparing companions to types of fish.  The mods, bless them, let us have at it as stress relief.  Allan even joined in with cracking jokes.   It was great fun, and I kinda missed having those types of laughs.   There is a few folks that are posting in this thread that were there that night.

Thanks guys for this thread, truly.  It reminds me why I stick around the BSN.  It's nice to laugh with fellow BioWare fans again.   :)

I will always remember the night of the Fishquisition. Man, we got completely loopy waiting for romance information.

I think that, from now on, all threads about how Cassandra and Josephine aren't hot enough for Teh Straight Doodz* should immediately be derailed by a dozen posts about how attractive Loghain and Garrus are. For those who aren't into those fine examples of manliness, post pictures of fish that remind you of Dragon Age characters instead. It will be contributing just as much to the forums as the original post.

* Not to be confused with straight men who can keep a sense of proportion about the subject, whether or not they find Cassandra and/or Josie attractive.

I have a healthy fear of fish (don't ask) but I am always happy to talk about my lust for Loghain, Garrus, the Architect, and many other "unconventionally attractive" menfolk, all undercut with a well hid but still existent bitterness that they don't even appreciate the perfection that is Cassandra and why can't I, I would love her so hard.

Nice try, but women tend to overlook physical appearance in favor of personality much more than men do. Just look at Mass Effect, how many people do you think actually considered Garrus and Thane hot?

I'm a guy and I love Garrus. If I found his personality in a guy irl I'd be ****** head over heels.

I remember putting up the Wheel of Fish from UHF at one point. That lack of information was pretty killer.  Ah, the chants of the BSN crying for the devs to "rip the bandaid off," including by me.  Then that happened and it's still funny to me that it latest as long as it did that night, without any bickering or fighting.  The trolls that tried to come in were met with pictures of the sea and fish.  A golden night among fans that were there.  That was also when the romance thread was moving at an insane rate of about 10-15 pages per day too.   I know why those threads got locked, but I miss moments like that.

I second your idea.  I also vote to contribute with pictures of Iron Bull, for those gals and guys that adore him too.  Unconventionally attractive in so many ways, and incredibly awesome.   Of course, I'm a sucker for nice eyes and a deep voice.  That doesn't hurt.   ;)

Basically, they were trying to ask the straight/bi female audience how we would feel if we only had two romance options, that looked like Howe and Loghain.  It was another "the female LIs in this game are ugly" thread in disguise, with the not-so-subtle twist of, "And how would you like it if it happened to you, ladies?"

The result is the bemused mockery of the entire idea that we are supposed to be upset, as well as sharing some of our favorite unconventionally attractive LIs in BW games.  A lot of Loghain and Garrus (and yes, even some genuine krogan) LI supporters came out of the woodwork.   The OP's intent to "let's hear the rant people" backfired in a marvelous way, and it's been giving me (and others) giggles off and on for hours now.

Huh...i felt selection was worse for male's, but cassandra's romance felt the more organic, in some light, at least comparing to others.

The OP was going purely on aesthetics, not the story content of the romances themselves.  The focus on aesthetics was the part that made a lot of us collectively start laughing.  Also, as well as the idea that straight women getting "only" two romances next time instead of the potential four actually being seen as a something they would get upset about was pretty funny too.

Glad to hear you liked Cass romance arc though.   :D

oh, purely on looks? Well, everyone in DAI looks nearly the same on attractiveness level, so it doesn't make a difference really.

I find Garrus to be a total hunk. Too bad I can't romance him.  :(

It's very easy to overlook his appearance, since his personality is just very charming.
