After reading The Stolen Throne, I wouldn't mind a Loghain romance. One of the reasons for my username ![]()

Hitting on grunt would be like....hitting on your not-official-kinda-official-son.

Ahh, so you're a Howe girl then, eh? Well, live and let live, you chase that bliss.
And where do you make the leap and assume I like Howe from that? Since romance is optional in these games, couldn't a person, forced to choose between Howe or Loghain, simply opt for the "forever alone" protagonist?
As I said, speak for yourself, don't presume to speak for me.

You might have a point there. I couldn't even conceptualize kissing a Turian.
*cough* LI's with dogs legs *cough*
Pretty sure us guys didn't care much either. Went 5 years talking about how hot Tali was without knowing what she looked like and when we finally saw her face we cracked the sh*ts because she looked too good.

They should look like frogs, or maybe a mix of artichoke and dinosaur. And the culminating romance scene should be a mutual head nod. I'm sure the raging from the women here will be deafening! Eh? Am I right or what?
It's embarrassing to see the women so happy with the Garrus/Thanemances because of the content of their characters, while the guys do nothing but complain about the faces of their love interests and demand full frontal nudity. Talimancers get a lot of crap from everybody but at least they get credit for not being like the current dudely crop.

May I ask why? Let me make up two options for the girls that are like cassandra and joise but male:
A dude that likes the "traditional female stuff" and have long hair and girlish features ?But still wants to swoop you of your feet traditional style.
And a dude that is the nicest noblest guy ever but he looks"average".
Are those two horrible choices?

I would have loved to have romanced Loghain in Origins. Okay he looked a bit like he was infected with the Blight and I could tell he was going to be the antagonist of the game the first time I met him but he was an interesting fellow with a lot of presence and an awesome voice. Howe pretty much matches that description as well but unlike Loghain he's just a one dimensional douche. If Bioware offered me a one dimensional douche as a LI however pretty he might be I suppose I wouldn't be happy.

Girls can wear jeans and cut their hair short, wear shirts and boots 'cause it's OK to be a boy, but for a boy to look like a girl is degrading 'cause you think that being a girl is degrading. The first option is generally very popular in Asia, especially in places like Japan or Korea. If you read yaoi or Shojo which aimed at girls, pretty feminine boys can be very appealing to girls.Second option: If you think Josephine is average then you are really detached from reality. Second, options like Garrus and Thane who are aliens with lizard features and such are popular with girls, moreso than Kaidan, a traditionally good looking guys.
I don't think she looks average but I've read the complaints here so I made what the complaints said where the worst part of their straight male romance options and turned it "female." I think both cassandra and joise are pretty and both are awesome people.
I'm just tired of the complaining "CASSANDRAS TOO MANLY LOOK AT HER JAW!!!" or "Josie isn't pretty enough!!!"

Wait, Loghain and Howe are supposed to represent Cass & Josie? Wat? Cass is gorgeous, she really wouldn't be out of place on a catwalk. I've always gotten the 'Angelina Jolie' vibe from her, though slightly less pouty:

Josie is 'cute' rather than stunning, but she's far and away above average for a normal woman. Seriously, if you were going to pick two romances that are supposed to symbolise a female equivilent, you needed to choose Cullen and Sebastian...

I got that from the OP(I apologize if that wasn't the case but I'm so sick of the whole "Straight males where discriminated against" thing that pops up all the time) That he used Howe and Loghain as examples to compare to the "bad" options for males this game. I though Cassandra was very cute and human I loved how she seemed shy about feeling anything for my quizzy.

Welcome to the troll logic that has been my night. Popcorn? ![]()
The OP was picking Howe and Loghain for their looks, leaving the impression that was how ugly he saw the female love interests for Inquisition. And that straight/bi female fans would care as much about it as some of the more...vocal detractors of Josie and Cassandra do about finding those ladies unattractive.
Cullen and Sebastian are definitely conventionally attractive and wouldn't fit into the OP's failed analogy.
If anything, this thread has shown how looks overall mean less to straight/bi female fans than the personality does. Sure, straight/bi women like a good looking guy, but it isn't mandatory for us to enjoy the romance. Fans of Iron Bull, Thane, Garrus as well as supporters of Loghain romances have been delightfully pointing this out.
For Bull fans: HORNS UP!

i've seen a lot of people complaining that solas looks horrible cause he's bald though.
also, doesn't dismiss that iron bull is the worst written character of all fantasy.

In ME I romanced Thane (woman irl)... I'm definately not attracted to snake people, but his romance was second only to Alistair (who I liked for his wit). Ah, it's always nice when trolls fail... XD.

First of all, Loghain looks way better in DA:I (and all the models in DA:O are simply uglier - due to the system), and I'd be very interested in romancing Loghain if he were a companion and still alive (seems highly unlikely). The problem with Howe isn't his looks. It's his psychopathy. But, really, I don't judge romances on their looks, so without any information, how could I say.
My problem would be if there were two old Ferelden guys who had been in a lot of similar places and had similar views - no variety. Bad comparison to Cass and Josie, though since there's not enough differentiation in background. Yes, both Cass and Josie are noble-born and maybe Andrastian (though it's unclear if Josie is really devout or if she's just a fan of the cultural aspects), but that's about where the similarities end. They aren't the same age, the same type of fighter (Josie isn't a fighter, but she trained as a Bard), from the same country, etc. I guess they are more similar than the 2 straight female options (I know some females get 4, but only elves, and humans get 3 - dwarves and Qunari still get 2) since Blackwall and Bull are very different (though both WARs - the male LIs for straight female are really WAR heavy - you only get a non-WAR if you are an elf). But they still seem very distinct to me.
And they're both quite pretty, though I'd put DA:I Loghain in the "quite pretty" category. He's got a serious George Clooney esque thing going.

what. females get way more options then males do especially straight. Straight females get human, elf, and a qunari. Straight males only get humans.
