Wow, it appears the taint agrees with Loghain more than I thought possible. Quickly, everybody change their worldstates in the Keep to keep him alive, so that we can bug Bioware about a Loghain romance in the next DA game

 

Meanwhile, I'll continue to enjoy the company of the very interesting and well-written DAI characters of both genders. Non-romantically for the most part, but with exceptions.

i've seen a lot of people complaining that solas looks horrible cause he's bald though.

 

also, doesn't dismiss that iron bull is the worst written character of all fantasy.

what. females get way more options then males do especially straight. Straight females get human, elf, and a qunari. Straight males only get humans.

Is not really surprising they were both human, especially when some guys act with outrage if their romance choices ain't "conventionally attractive woman". Some guys kept calling Cass & Josephine hideous, i could guess what they'd think of a female IB

I find Garrus to be a total hunk. Too bad I can't romance him. 

 

It's very easy to overlook his appearance, since his personality is just very charming.

For some, definitely not for everyone. A huge number of straight guys on the bsn think that Cassandra is "too ugly to live" because she has short hair and a sharp jawline. Can you imagine if those same guys got a female Turian as their LI?

If the romance options for guys are all smoking hot and perfect I expect the same catering of options for female romance options.  Hated it when back in the day you got hot chics for guys to romance but if you were playing a female (in the few games that had such an option) there was no romance options or like 1... MAYBE 2 and they weren't very appealing in any way.  I feel that BW has done a good job of keeping things level and even for either gender and in representing either gender (not going to go into the initial 3:2 but you could buy one to make it even DA2 debate).

Far cry from the days of old and glad to see progression.

And where do you make the leap and assume I like Howe from that? Since romance is optional in these games, couldn't a person, forced to choose between Howe or Loghain, simply opt for the "forever alone" protagonist?

Nice try, but women tend to overlook physical appearance in favor of personality much more than men do. Just look at Mass Effect, how many people do you think actually considered Garrus and Thane hot?

Pretty sure some people actually did want to romance Loghain though? He's actually a very interesting morally grey character.

 

What exactly is morally grey about him? He risked the total destruction of his own country, he knowingly let his king and thousands of men die, he knowingly allowed Howe to torture. he knowingly allowed the elves in the alienage to be enslaved, he poisoned Arl Eamon, and did alot of other evil acts simply because he didn't like the Orlesions. That's not morally grey. That's chaotic evil.

 

There's definitely been a dearth of hot romanceable guys ever since Haer'Dalis and Alistair.

Solas is the hottest dude in the game imo, followed by Blackwall/Dorian, and he's like #2 in terms of fanfic/fanart, behind only Cullen, who has the benefit of years of dedicated fans so. .

 

Clearly the solution here is unconventionally attractive man + SMOKING HOT VOICE. See: Loghain, Garrus, Thane, Solas, blah blah.
