Can you and your staffs please provide some problem solving tips on how we can get out of a tough situation that you and your staffs put us in by not giving us the ability to have healing mages or have health regen? I am on a quest right now, and I am dealing with a demons, and my team mates are low on health, including myself. How can I defeat these demons when I keep dying? Can you give us some strategy tips on how not to get us killed in these kind of situations where we have no health potions left? Please provide us a video so we can learn how to enjoy the game with low health, and with no healing mages there to heal us when we need it the most.

It makes more sense to make the developers change the game so we don't have to swallow our pride and play on the easy mode.

Also, I'll sometimes load an autosave. If I get my butt kicked in a battle and don't have enough potions left to get through the next area, retry the whole section.

There were only two situations in the game, where I could not complete it with the potions I had allotted. The Hinterlands dragon, and the dragon on the island off the coast. Tried each one several times, and finally decided I tried at too low a level, so came back a couple levels later. Also, make sure you have regeneration potions in your second slot, and try to use those first. And if you are high enough level to get the third potion slot, get the Healing Mist grenades. Should give you plenty of healing to solve any situation.

Healing Mist grenades are excellent on dragon fights. After she pulls the party in with her wings and does all that damage, you can toss a quick Mist grenade and get most (if not all) of your party's health back into good shape. Also, I'd highly recommend doing a little bit of upgrades to your potions and grenades. It'll save you a lot of trouble later. Finally, go straight for the perk that allows you to get 12 potions. Can't tell you how many times that perked saved my butt during a dragon fight.
do the hinterlands arround level 12 or higher make sure you have a mage whith revive. and make sure your team have potions.
And this. Have at least one mage around that's got revive.

Yeah lower the difficulty - and then get a more healing focused potion loadout. There are regen potions and healing mist grenades.

Guard and barrier are your friends. The best way to keep your health up is to not take damage on your health.

That is an easy one.
Go elsewhere and level up until you CAN beat them.

Run away, find a camp, replenish, level up, lower you difficulty, and try again.
Use tac cam to look at the level of these demons. If they are higher level than you, come back later.
Addressing Bioware like you do in an attempt to make it look like it is a game design flaw really makes you look stupid, because in reality it is just your own incompetence at combat.

Aren't you the poster who got the vapors when folks around here first started talking about using cheat engine?
Upgrade your potion capacity and/or lower the difficulty to casual. I played on normal and the only encounters that gave me trouble were the Empris dragon trio.

Some games are just harder than others. Just get more levels, get better equipment, make more saves so you can load if you lost too much health in the battle etc. And lower the difficulty.
Though I agree that there is lack of healing magic, I hope in next game it returns.

Those three are very nasty. The first one wasn't too bad, but I hated the second one. She loves her adds and her flight time, doesn't she?
I didn't think the final one was quite as bad though.

If you take on an enemy that's higher level than you, of course you're going to get slapped around. Not sure what system you're on, but on PS3/PS4, if you press R3, it will tell you the level of the enemy. If it has a higher level ( 2 levels or more ), walk away and come back to it. Even though Hinterlands is a starting area, there are 2 rifts IIRC that are level 10 and level 12.
Also, if you just upgrade abilities for your companions, but don't enable/ disable when to use them, you're going to have a bad time. For example, if you give Solas the Barrier, but don't set it to preffered, he will only cast it at the start of the combat. If you set it to Preffered, he will pretty much cast it as soon as it comes off the cool down.

I didn't even get that far just yet. But then I'm most emphatically not optimized for it (and I somehow managed to miss the healing mist schematic). I've just been knocking on their doors and trying my luck. Worked ok for the Sandy Howler (or whichever one was in Hissing Wastes) and Storm Coast, not so much here.

For the second dragon, if you're uncertain, get some sort of frost protection going. You'll need it, at least for your frontline fighters. She's got high defense, stays on the move constantly and summons her dragonlings a lot. I'd highly recommend bringing the spec/gear for crowd control.
Tip for those that might not know: That lovely Fade rift ability that you get after Haven will stun a dragon completely during its duration, at least on Normal. ![]()

I usually have it off my bars in favor of my spec focus ability. Bah.
Would be nice if they could patch in the ability to access all our abilities on the circle menu like in previous games.
