There's a lot of variety when it comes to outfits. Gears look differently on different characters.

However, during my first playthrough which took me 80 hours to complete, I think I changed the appearance of my outfits for my female rogue like only 4-5 times. I updated my gears to better versions with superior materials, however. Though the variety of the looks for different outfits for one character are too scarce , imo.

Often times, whenever I came across a new gear that looked different, it was already outdated.

I also found that if you choose a very detailed armor that you sacrifice the rainwater effects.  I like the effect, so usually sacrifice the armor.

I would have just been fine with an appearance adjuster while crafting whatever gear I'm making.  Allow for appearance gear to be discovered so folks can look however we wish.  If it's one thing I've learned while on these forums,  Bioware fans are persnickety!

"But how would we improve our gear proportionally to our level and the things we're fighting" you might ask?  Off the top of my head,  doing missions for Harritt could have been fun and obviously, very rewarding.

I would have loved to have been able to wear that inquisition gear without messing with my stats.
