Since it's not mandatory, I would like to keep earning EXP and not get the locked room glitch everyone is talking about.
Though I have about 40K gold saved up so if theres better item drops in the update I might just go for it. Edit: I didn't see anything in the patch notes about better items or anything so I guess I'll just spend the gold and not download the patch.
What do you guys think? Are most of the matches bugged?
Don't. It's currently bugged for many people, rendering Perilous nigh-unplayable. Threatening too, some say. I just uninstalled mine and'm getting my friends to do the same.
The only thing bad that I know is that the locked doors are a problem; I mean, there is a way around it if you can selectively kill rather than just randomly kill.
It expands on some maps too so you get new pathways and such; I think they were paths previously locked with the padlock. When you get to a locked door getting you to the next camp/zone make sure you kill anything but animals first.

We tried this so many times. I think we redid the same room maybe...11x before calling it quits. Made absolutely no difference what we killed when, still bugged. Also, given that dogs often spawn after the fight is over inside walls, it's kinda hard to kill them all first.
No, definitely not worth "working around."
