SnS Warrior Nightmare

My plan is going for the Templar special, and try to abuse Wrath of Heaven and Spell Purge combo.
What I'm wondering is who I should bring with me.
Right now, I'm thinking Sera/Varric, Solus and Dorian.
Solus for, what I hope, casting PotA on enemies to make them cluster on me, so I can Wrath/Purge them, and AoE damage. Dorian for other AoE damage and CC through fear, and Sera/Varric for... rogue.
Anyone got any tips on the best, or least bad, way to go about this? Should I bring Cole and make him an archer instead of Sera/Varric?
Will Solus cast Pull to make enemies cluster on me, or will he cast it and make them cluster somewhere else?
How should I spec my Warrior in the early and mid game?
Should I forgo Templar and pick Champion instead? Don't really want to do the last thing there, what with Templar also providing 10% damage resistance.

The Templar 10% resistance is very negligible. Especially since it's separate to magic resistance in real terms it works out to about 5% on a character with reasonable magic resistance.
That said, you should have a lot of fun with WoH/SP. You really don't need Solas to cluster mobs, if you charge in first they will all close in around you anyway, and the Templar abilities have good range.
I wouldn't say any companion really stands out as a good fit with a Templar, so you can pick whatever you like.

Templar is more for DPS than tank, however you can have a very decent tank out of it anyway. The best tank spec is Champion, however. Still it is a little boring (depending on what you like) so if you also like to do some damage Templar is a good choice.

Templar is best combo-puller. This means he can deal more damage than it visible on the paper, because in proper combo-oriented built group, Templar is AOE damage mayhem. (With FF on or without, with FF on it just bit more trickier, on FF off Templar is simply... owns)
And at later stages i suggest 2H templar.
Also i have oppinion that Templar is best DPS / CC spec of Warriors with good surviliability. Champions are for pure SNB tank, Reavers are meh on AI, and meh compared to party-animal Templar which synergizes with team-mates for combo locks and other funny things, esp with FF off..

My issue with Templars is that they basically make the easy encounters easier, and do nothing for the more difficult encounters (bosses and stun immune mobs).
