Suggestion - get rid of "resourse" missions and add resource vendors in Skyhold instead.

While allowing to get resources without manual gathering is definitely good idea, the current implementation is not good at all. Having to return to War table every 10-15 minutes isn't much better than manual gathering.

Instead, having merchants from discovered areas arrive to Skyhold for trade has much more sense. Prices on goods (and maybe goods diversity) can vary depends on how safe the area is (i.e. which quests have you done there).

I would much rather they just doubled/tripled the required gathering time and did the same with the rewards.

Yeah I think the number of resources gathered should be increased not new vendors added to fix it. Maybe the amount of resources gathered could increase the more stable you've made the area the goods are coming from though. Might add a little connectivity between resource gathering and areas then.

The entire point of the set up is that you are rewarded constantly, with small things, for exploring. And while you are being rewarded for exploring, why not get even MORE rewards by turning in the stuff you gathered while exploring?

You don't have to do those if you don't want to do them. They are repeatable quests that can largely be ignored. If you want more power or just to rank up the Inquisition, they can boost you a little, but by no means should be the main focus.

Sending out your advisors for resources should be a last resort, or ones you do while waiting for the multiple hour assignments. The way I use it is by only taking those assignments when I want a specific advisor for an assignment, but its already on one. So I send the others to get resources and when the advisor I want is free, THEN I come back to the War Table, and not any sooner.

I'm never low on resources unless I just crafted all new sets of gear for all 10 characters that are equipable in game. This isn't a lazy game, if you want everything to be handed to you without any time or effort, load up a game on your iPhone, give them your credit card number, and you're all set.

After running two of those missions I totally ignored them, they aren't worth your attention. I pick up more resources in the field in less than 2 minutes. To make these missions useful they should give you at least 10 if not 20 of a specific resource. They can extend the required time accordingly up to one two hours or something. Right now it's a pointless gimmick.

Honestly, I don't understand the entire idea of manual control here. It's just a routine task, there is absolutely nothing interesting in this. Well, maybe not vendors, maybe automated missions like "Leliana, when you have no specific assignment then send your spies to Hinterlands for herbs". At least agents will not waste time when you are at work and can't play the game. :D

Lucky you. But please don't tell me what to do and which games I should play, I didn't asked for that. :) My point is that if you had, for any reason, some common resource shortage then you would not have to interrupt the real exploration or story missions for uninteresting repetitive tasks. Of course, if you really WANT to gather resources instead, you'll still be able to. Currently resource missions is just another type of manual gathering - instead of running and pressing F button you are staring to loading screen, running through Skyhold to War room, watching animations, returning to actual mission... Are there anyone who really enjoy this?

I like this idea not only because the amount of resources the advisors recover is incredibly  low, but because it would give more meaning to the closing of rifts and completion of quests.  This would give us some incentive to actually complete areas and make them safer (aside from roleplaying, of course)... not a huge incentive, but every bit helps IMO.

at a minimum, they need to reduce the requirements for resources, and make them more sparse so we aren't having to constantly collect them.  It's just not fun.
