Rename? Delete.

that's an option too, but its easier to reverse if you rename or move

Because the DLC is so buggy many of you wish to play without the DLC. This can be achieved without reinstalling the game.

go to: program files-> origin games-> DAI -> bonus

then find the folder named: Multiplayer_DLC1

remove or rename this folder (I moved it to desktop) then start or restart your game. Game will now play without it.

You can reinstall the dlc simply by changing the name or location back to where/what it was.

I knew this because this works the same way ME3MP dlc worked. If anyone remembers the retaliation bug you'll remember having to do this.

Hope this helps  :)

Does this mean I won't randomly end up in games with you anymore?  I swear I saw you in lobbies like, three days in a row.

I found that after removing the DLC I had a really hard time finding public games, so I had to put it back  :(

I would caution anyone that is not using the DLC that you will not be able to matchmake with users who are using it and as such your experience may suffer as you will have fewer hosts / good hosts to connect to and an overall greatly reduced player pool. This will likely result in laggier sessions and a longer wait in quickmatch.

What? Even laggier sessions than normal?

And most of the time in quickmatch is spent in loading screens anyway, because you lose connection ~80% of the time. I guess it would take longer for the matchmaking system to search for the "best" session though.

/sarcasm off :kissing:

this is logical to think, but not true in practice, there are many people who never installed the DLC in the first place. So far I've had no issues matchmaking with others

Same. I hate to say it but the DLC patch made the game unplayable for my friends and I. We would have to host migrate at least 6-7 times a night we played on the patch. Since removing the DLC we have had no issues over the many games we played. It's not like people can't test it themselves. I doubt they will see any issue with the connections specially if they are playing with 4 friends and we never had to worry about a single key. Its just not worth it.

Living in the east coast of USA I can still get a full lobby within 1 minute most of the time. People living far from other players may be getting noticeably slower matchmaking though.

I can't be sure but I think matchmaking gives priority to games already in progress over games that are still in the lobby, so if you can't seem to get a full group, just ready up and wait for people to join.

People are starting to talk about wanting to kill their own characters because of this bug. If bioware doesn't have the decency to sticky this thread to the front page then I will, with endless bumps.

Bump. No need to wait for bioware employees to come off their holidays and dawdle around for the next few months to patch up the DLC for you, boys and girls, because deletion is the fix for the DLC.

I have no problems connecting to games without the DLC.

I think that removing the DLC is the key to enjoying this game.

I finally cracked and uninstalled the DLC.

Even after waiting until new years was over and hoping for anything from BiowarEA like maybe a "we're aware of it and are working towards a fix. Hold on!" But no, nothing but the old stone wall.

For shame, BiowarEA.

I now consider you to be on the same tier as Ubisoft when it comes to future game purchases.

Although where EA is concerned, I should have known better than to buy anything with that name attached to it.

well why did you not release a quick fix then ? I know the new year party and celebrate being game of the year is one thing, but is it not back to work yet? :(

After this happened to me I'm going to delete the DLC too:

zwcfn7.jpg

We came upon a giant that was stuck INSIDE a wall. Sometimes some parts of the giant would stick out of the wall.

Sometimes the giant was completely inside the wall. In the first case we could try to attack it.

Took several minutes until we managed to do it.

Anyway this is just the final straw after the DLC lived up to its name and destroyed the multiplayer experience for me.

Besides that I have experienced:

- random crashed to desktop

- infinite loading screen loops

- dogs stuck inside walls too

- last but not least the beloved no key glitch

I'm hoping for a better multiplayer experience  without the DLC

I figured out your problem.  Your caltrops are so OP the giant had to hide in a place where they couldnt get to him, so he hid in the wall.

Don't worry guys and gals, at least we will have a rewarding weekend event that makes the experience more enjoyable to look forward to! I cant wait to kill 100 things with a thing and then claim my chest full of disappointing things! What more could you ask for?
