OK.

Here is my story:

I went and bought a PS3 about a year after it came out, I came home and the store employee and changed out his broken PS3, with a game stuck in it and missing a controller which he clearly kept as an extra for his now stolen system. I brought it back and the employee AND store manager yelled at me and my wife and her mother-in law that came with when I wanted to exchange it, that I was trying to fraud them, in front of 20 people making us feel like criminals around x-mas 2007.  Needless to say after contacting EBgames headquarters, they ALL got fired. Because serial numbers don't lie.

They ARE a-holes often times.

&...? did a store worker ever literally almost start laughing at you just for simply trying to buy a game, give you several demeaning questions about "why somebody like you" were buying said game & act like you didn't deserve to buy this product & shame you just because of your gender?

I find it highly amusing that you call this idiotic, because I am literally doing the exact same thing that you are doing.
You claim that a majority of gamers are men, you provide absolutely no evidence to even begin to suggest that what you say is true.
You claim that this is such an obvious fact, so I'm sure that you can find pages and pages on evidence to support you.

No I am not.

There is a difference of what I am saying and your idiotic comparison that anyone reading it would immediately think wrong:

Actually no, it's obvious to me that whilst some men do play games, they usually stick to casual games like Lego Batman and Angry Birds. But for the most part the main demographic of proper games is women, who like to play Dark Souls, DA and ME.

It's like saying the largest demographic for Twilight movies were men, and the largest demographic for "expendables" are women.

Anyone instinctively know it is untrue and highly unlikely.

You shot yourself in the foot with that one. It had no bearing on what I said in the slightest.

Just read this sentence and you KNOW that this is a lie and unlikely:

The largest demographic of COD is women and Boys rather play "the Sims".

Better luck next time. You face planted on that one.

Yeah, even on the very mild end it's annoying. People you had normal conversations with before suddenly have this paradigm shift when they find out you're a woman and start attempting to flirt with you constantly.

Everybody faces harassment on the internet, men just face different forms of abuse. They get called virgins, the f-word,  nerds or get the ever-popular 'yo mama' jokes. It's just that men usually don't make a big deal out of it. Just look at how much outrage online harassment against women has produced, and how little people care or know about threats against Phil fish or Jack Thompson, let alone threats against the GG crowd (they had it coming right?).

Even if only .0001% of people who play "legit" video games were women...who cares? Why do you feel the need to so passionately rant about this?

Yeah, i once had a online guy friend who was literally the same age as my stepdad who started to repeatedly hit on me despite me saying i wasn't interested several times after finding out my sex, the change in behaviour was just creepy IMO

Yeah, this.  Funny thing is, I can probably guess the approximate age too.  Most men over 30 are excited to play with other female gamers, and don't go out of their way online or off to tell them, "Pff, you only play Candy Crush."

In certain competitive games heckling is expected yes, but in MMORPGS you don't see men being harassed(unless they said or did something extremely stupid) or stalked however it's a given if you're a woman. I play as both male and female characters online and experience no trouble when people think I'm male. The creepiness and sexual harassment only come out if they find out I'm female in real life.
